I can't understand why ATT laying off over 15,000 people, some 30% of labs, 100s stores hasn't made it to ANY press.

CNBC is Comcast. They don't care what AT&T wants. Besides, work transitioning to online from brick and mortar is not news. Ask J.C. Penny.
If the scope of these layoffs get absolutely ridiculous it might get more press coverage. Company said 4-5 years ago that substantial cuts were coming in 2020 so it’s not like that base hasn’t been covered. Millions of businesses affected and a huge amount of small to medium businesses at the brink of collapse. As long as the company doesn’t announce 50-100,000 cuts in one day I really doubt if we will see marching in the streets.
Publishing bad news on cnn is an offense punishable up to and including termination of employment
Yeah, the link is for CNBC but CNN is a much larger "news" outlet and they won't cover anything negative about their corporate master. If CNN won't cover it, CNBC and the other outlets won't cover it either.
@iew+162Bv6nq clearly you are not aware of the scope of "Labs" as you call it.
All of Labs needs to go! All it is now, is locked-down non-prod environments. There is no invention in Labs anymore. It’s simply people taking orders from platform owners. Labs is now really a thing of the past, w/the rollout of public cloud. Platform owners can perform all the necessary tasks, w/o having to do backflips, to get someone in Labs to actually do something. Good riddance. Sorry you thought you were actually needed, to read MOPs and punch a few keys on the keyboard. Have fun shutting down all the labs. Turn off the lights when you are done. Don’t let the door hit you in the backside, on your way out
I come here for my news.
AT&T owns CNN and keeps the story hushed. You'll never see negative coverage of AT&T.
Who owns CNN?
The link posted was for CNBC. Which is not CNN.
DONE!
