Do ADs and SDs really know the names of people on their teams?
Any Info on Wireline?
Yes we have issues, yes there’s a lot of people doing a lot of nothing. I know mass layoffs in the union are unlikely but does anyone know what sort of restructuring we might see?
Hear it here first…
Nov 20. Major MAJOR reorganization…talking a reversal of the whole New Verizon thing launched a few years ago. Teams shuffled. 30-40% layoffs. Gonna be total chaos.
This CHRO post from 6 months ago aged well 😂😂😂
“Momentum. That’s the best way to describe our 1Q 2025 results. We had a strong start to the year, and the V Team didn’t miss a beat. ✨ We took big and bold swings with new experiences, products and plans to give our customers more of what they... — read more
I asked why we were still hiring amid layoffs
My boss told me, and I quote, “to fill specific roles that support the company’s changing needs.” The funny thing is, most of the openings I see aren’t new or tied to AI. They’re the same roles that were just emptied out by layoffs in the past few... — read more

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did Dan just add another C level position and fill it with a former colleague from paypal? Leadership at its BEST!
Everyone
I don't care if you are union or management. I don't care if you are wireline or wireless. I don't care if you work in HQ or in you home. I dont care which political party you support. I hope that everything works out for all of us.
Pending Layoffs
Rumors are swirling about the pending layoffs in store. I'm hoping that the cuts will not involve the customer service areas of our organization. If anything, we should be cutting the fat at the top. How many Market Presidents are there in the... — read more

Value Miami Office
What’s up with it? The expo was cancelled and there’s rumor about the kitchen staff being laid off come December. Does this mean we’re staying at the old office? Does it mean we’re moving sooner than anticipated? Does anyone know?
Greed!
$126 billion in profit and they’re laying off workers? GREED, GREED, GREED. Good luck providing decent service!

Will the RIF impact any contractors, or just employees?
What’s this rumor that some people were notified yesterday?
Any truth to it? I don’t personally know anyone, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

It looks like no layoffs have been announced today, as the new pay period begins so I guess two more weeks of uncertainty and then we can finally know our fate.

What should I do in this situation?

outsourcing ruined this company top to bottom. I have been seeing this decline for last 6-10years. IT apps being built are below college project level. If Dan really wants to fix this he should start the reboot there
Layoff criteria will be based on cost first
As always. That’s why we’ve been shedding competence, experience, and institutional knowledge like there’s no tomorrow.
Layoffs - Don't be the easy choice!
There’s been talk, from a source I trust, that leadership has been exploring workforce reductions. The numbers being floated include cuts of 15% up to roughly a quarter (25%) of staff under each director across most departments. The focus appears to... — read more

NJ WARN
I’ve seen some previous posts on NJ WARN but no real clarification on whether VZ has filed/notified. Sounds like they have been able to skirt this in the past, but I assume not this time with significant layoffs happening in a 30 day period.
