Chris Flood taking over for Aparna? So stupid

We get rid of a DEI hire and put someone equally as worthless in the spot

Why does Verizon put people in these positions?

Why CF? Not only did he not deserve this promotion, but he is an a-s to his people showing Verizon once again doesn’t care about employees.

@c3 Yes, I know both of them very well and KZ still has a lot of pull.

@b6
flood will probably beg to have her stay on as an assistant since he needs 4 to 5 people to help him with EVERYTHING.
KZ must have saved him - that is the only thing I can think of

I agree this is crazy. Don't agree that she is a bad DEI hire though. Aparna is the only good leader in VBG. She delivers.

I don’t understand why the hate on people - does that make you feel good? Have you seen how well Business Markets has done under her in the past three years? It’s the only business doing well. Sad that you spew nasty words without knowing the facts.

"DEI" just insures others outside the good old boy network have a chance to be considered and that efforts are made to reach out to candidates from non-traditional (not good old boys) talent pools.

These candidates have to meet the same criteria as everyone else. The standards are not lower. Quite often one must be better than the competition to make the cut yet they are still seen as less-than.

Aparna was useless and only checked the DEI box. Addition by subtraction.

Dan said in his email outside companies will be gone

Aparna did nothing but throw out words like "goodness" and take joy in everyone kissing her rear. I don't know is she was DEI or not, but she was worthless at her job. As a CRO, you need to make sure deals make money. There are so many people involved in VBG sales that the margins are eroded to nothing. VBG is mostly companies switching carriers at the end or their contract so they get free equipment. We act like if we get them, we can keep them which is never the case. Sales are going to become much harder for us because we are going to have to prove profitability of what we sale. Sales personnel will be gutted over the coming year and we will bring on outside companies to sell to businesses instead of internal headcount.
