It’s Too Bad

Phillips 66 offers good pay and good benefits. And before the Go Go regime took over it was a relatively satisfying place to work. Now with the failure of BT. WEP, and never ending layoffs it’s sad place to work. Morale is at rock bottom. Employee... — read more

Landmark case verdict reached

Former laid-off employee here. P66 management deserves this for the sh*t show https://natlawreview.com/article/massive-6049-million-verdict-landmark-trade-secret-case

What I’m Hearing

I’m hearing that CP Chem is really having problems right now. I can’t help but think that Go Go was the CEO of that company only few years ago. He even bragged about how great successful that BT was. I hope epilogue is not prologue at P66.

P66 HR hiring a Sr Recruiter

Nice to know that HR is hiring a Sr recruiter when they are not busy laying off good people. Probably need to staff up the HR Team to lay people off faster and bring in cover up teams for the bungling VP HR

ConocoPhillips is leaving Bartlesville by end of 2026. Will we follow and leave to?

Anyone else in projects around the company got meetings today?

Party Time NYC

Because we convincingly won in our proxy contest, ML thought it wise to host a party in NYC to celebrate with the core team and the BOD. Can’t make this sh*t up.

Periodic L & D Reminder

This is the periodic reminder that while L & D continues to have good employees at the different locations, L and D “Leadership” continues to perform very poorly.

CNBC - Phillips 66

CNBC had the CEO on Squawk Box yesterday to discuss 2nd quarter earnings. My question is why? Companies report earnings every day. Our earnings were ok but not close to being spectacular so why give publicity to just another company reporting... — read more

Earnings

I’m a little surprised that the 2nd quarter earnings beat expectations even though the analysts had lowered expectations a week or so ago. We still didn’t make as much as VLO and they don’t even have chemicals or big midstream operations. One... — read more

A Favor to Ask

At the rate employees are dragging up at the Borger Refinery, will the last one to leave turn off the lights and lock the doors?

Best guess on cuts?

I have heard multiple rumors on the cuts coming. Not just in IT, but everywhere. Capital is likely just the start. It feels like many groups have been putting off filling open roles because of it. What is everyone's best guess? I feel like the week... — read more

BTC

Since we're no longer doing research, is there any word on the future of the BTC?

Surely He Jests

Go Go said at an energy conference that employees are really buying in to BT and because there are fewer employees they are getting more done and their jobs are more enjoyable. Surely he doesn’t really believe that!

Projects layoffs

Have heard of three so far today following the announcement this morning. What's everyone seeing? Gotta love central projects managing sample stations and minor jumpers. That will definitely improve efficiency.

Chemicals an Anchor

We have traded poorly vs MPC and VLO since the Elliott vote. In the past month chemicals has sold off vs refiners due to the terrible margin environment and outlook. Today is an example where refiners are up and we are trading down with the... — read more

Why Safety Keeps Coming up in the Surveys

As to RH being confused on why safety keeps coming up in the comments despite metrics improving: We aren't being listened to when we have safety concerns. We are being told we're going to run at X. We say it's going to cause RVs to lift, it's going... — read more

Back when- Phillips management was hoarding cash- along came Pickens and a few more- tried to take over the company and get all that cash, then sell us off as needed- Phillips had to go to its employees to back them up and stop Pickens- as a result... — read more

I did it

After 13 years here, I never thought I’d leave. I finally took a leap on a new job a few weeks ago, and while it’s not perfect, shaking things up was worth it. Change is scary but sometimes necessary. If you're as unhappy as I was, give it try. It... — read more

The company plans to begin layoffs at its LA refinery in Dec, following its earlier decision to close the 139K-barrel-per-day facility by the end of 2025. The place which employs around 600 workers and 300 contractors, will start reducing its... — read more

Is it more than lip service?

My question to Mr. Lashier, ELT, and the Board. If you truly believe that being an integrated energy company is the best vision; then why not put YOUR money where your mouth is a buy? I mean actually buy PSX shares from your personal cash like... — read more

DEI Fallout

Saw that Target Stores recently got rid of two DEI champions - one of whom was Targets Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Maybe the time has come Phillips.

Go Go’s Thank You is Valuable

Go Go’s recent extension of “a heart felt thank you” is very valuable and meaningful. It’s so valuable that it and $2.69 will get you a gallon of regular gasoline.
