Watch your back

Can confirm that company is actively monitoring office attendance and employees who are not complying with what is now policy will be terminated. Also, outside of sales-coded roles, there will be NO hiring for virtual employees. Waterloo is the primary favored location due, in part, to a lower salary range for Canada and the fact no health care contribution is required. In short, Canadian employees cost less.

Company IS eliminating 15-20 percent of the current workforce through WFRs, carve outs, performance and violation of policy.

Watch your back. Managers and leaders also work from company sites as they are also required to adhere to office policy outside of sales and yes, they will report you if they see coffee badging.

Bumping this from @jq+1kpeh2t5w for info.

Quiet Cutting

The rot in the middle is finally panicking. For years, they survived by feeding off cheap foreign labor and disposable entry-level workers, while crushing real talent or forcing others to stoop to their level. They never built anything of substance; they only guarded their turf. Now AI has changed the landscape, and they are exposed. They neither understand it nor can they control it. Their era of quietly cutting others down is ending. It is time for them to face the music. And the people they looked down on as “deplorables” may soon become far more powerful than the gatekeepers who once sneered at them.

Cognizant to lay off 10-15% of US workforce

Cognizant plans to lay off 10-20% of their USA workforce in the next 6 - 8 weeks. They are forcing every business unit — Even profitable revenue generating ones — to cut their workforce to move over to India or bring in lower level talent. HR was blind-sided by this and has very little info so it’s clearly coming from Ravi or Surya. They are trying everything to get the stock back up, so why not blindside the workforce right after being named a great place to work. Yeah right.

Foreign Workforce in Strathcona Refinery

Lots of foreigners (Americans, Indians, Malaysians) under the guise of “specialty skills” Canadians can’t apparently perform in their customs letter. All lies! Folks forced to signing these bogus letters to allow these foreigners through and steal OUR jobs.

It’s not that Canadians can’t perform these jobs, but that the company doesn’t want to hire or have laid off Canadians that used to do the same job.

Companies like Imoerial should be taxed more. They’ve taken jobs from tax paying Canadians.

Shift from FTE to contractors

Over the past few years, I’ve noticed a consistent pattern: when full-time employees in my role leave, they’re almost always replaced with contractors rather than new permanent hires. That shift feels telling. It suggests that Truist may no longer see this position as a long-term investment, instead opting for the lower cost and reduced obligations that come with contract workers. No benefits, no paid time off, and a built-in exit after a fixed term.

This wasn’t always the case. Historically, Truist staffed this role with full-time employees, which reflected a different level of commitment. What makes the change even more striking is that a closely related job family within the same organization continues to be filled exclusively with permanent hires. The contrast highlights a clear shift in priorities: one job family appears to be viewed as strategically important for the long term, while the other, despite having the same pay grades, is treated as more temporary or expendable.

AI Workforce Disruption (Future) - The U.S. economic-financial system, the Truth.

Fact's -

The Fed under Chairman Jerome Powell since January 2026 has printed an additional $125.0 Billion in currency to prop-up the U.S. economic-financial system.

Fed money printing over time since 2009 does add to the (current) U.S. National debt of $39.1 Trillion (and rising) with a (current) debt-to-GDP ratio of 124.87% (and rising).

Note - The U.S. taxpayer pays the Interest on the U.S. National debt (each year) to other Investors that finance it (U.S. based, Japan; China; etc.).

Interest paid on the U.S. National debt (just surpassed $1.02 Trillion a year per usdebtclock).

To think that the Unemployment rate approaching 15.0% through AI workforce disruption through 2027 (at least) wouldn't cause (Very significant) damage to the U.S. economy is ludicrous.

It (actually) easily could.

These are the facts.

Layoffs comming near you shortly

Just got off the phone with my AD and I was told April 23rd there will be a 10% RIF across all departments within Verizon. They are going after highest paid workers now NOT based on your PAD or time served in the company. My AD wanted me to help develop a plan to put into play with the reduced staff starting May 24th.
