I heard many ppl complaining this week is there truth to the rumors that they may tweak it? Or is that just wishful thinking?

If any VPs or EVP are in this form. Please please and please request Dan to do everything in one single go and stop these RIF. People's are mentally challenged everyday by listening to rumors and fake news. Be bold and if Dan requires customers to be his first priority then give employment to his beloved customers and run this company with customers and remove all employees ( Onshore and offshore)

This is a bold statement by the Medtronic spokesman.

A Medtronic spokesman declined to confirm any layoffs, saying in an email that he would not comment on “rumors of staffing changes.”
He added that the company’s hiring in recent years has outpaced any reductions — especially in the United States.
“What I will point out is that as Medtronic sharpens its focus on high-opportunity, high-growth areas, we’re making thoughtful decisions about where to invest,” spokesman Justin Paquette said in an email.”

Any guesses on total headcount reductions?

I read on teamblind reports that another former Apple Cobbler Senior Manager left the Skunk works. By the sound of it they were axed not voluntarily left on their own and no replacement announced sounds like corp. restructuring. DF was the first domino, wishing my CA colleagues the best. Polish your resumes!

Heard Santa Rosa will be closed - 2 year timeline, but they are going to try to shut everything down within a year. Many teams at the site completely laid off. Waiting to see what happens. Grapevine news is that there will be an onsite all-hands tomorrow morning with VP coming onsite.

Believe it or not, it isn't happening today. Can’t you see they’re playing with you? They read these threads; they post here. To a sociopath, keeping you on edge is a game—and they love to win.

UBS has been quietly laying off people starting Mar-2026. Rumor is that another big list is coming in later may and june 2026.

It’s likely a small percentage being impacted. There’ll be a lot of rumors and hearsay on here.
Hopefully it’s just been a lot of bad rumors.

There will be no reduction if force tomorrow! It's all made up! This board will be dead silent tomorrow because not layoffs will be taking place at Verizon. Yes, there will be some that will claim they have been laid off but will not provide any proof of it, such as department, directors and mangers names to back up their claims. I'd bet my entire life savings that anyone that claims they got layoff tomorrow will not state anything to prove they did.. they just will come here as post just to show on the board there were layoffs. I am the person that started this entire May 7th date just to see how many legs it will have and wow, it has many! My advice to you all, really... find something better to do in your life!

I heard from reputable source, that although marketing VP GH is stationed in OKC… marketing jobs are expected to relocate to Houston office for better commercial exposure. Sorry for the facts, just want to keep people in the know so there’s no surprises. Hoping the best for all involved. This isn’t fun for anyone.

Strong rumors regarding a major security acquisition.

it’s starting to feel like we’re just giving up and letting the whole thing fall apart. we finally got rid of makoto uchida after months of rumors, and he officially stepped down march 31. on paper that sounds like a reset, but honestly it feels more like panic mode.

now ivan espinosa is taking over. he’s been here a long time, so it’s not like some outside savior is coming in. it feels more like reshuffling the same deck while the ship is already taking on water.

we all know the situation is rough. debt is piling up, sales keep sliding, and trust in the brand is not what it used to be. insiders were already saying late last year that nissan had only 12 to 14 months to turn things around. that clock is still ticking.

what really gets me is the honda deal. from what i’ve heard, honda wasn’t the main problem. we were too stubborn about not becoming a subsidiary, so we may have walked away from the closest thing we had to a lifeline.

and here’s the part that makes it worse. one of honda’s conditions was leadership change. now uchida is gone, so maybe that door opens again, but who knows. right now it just feels like rumors and damage control.

there’s also talk about other buyers or partnerships, but it all feels late. like we waited too long, made too many bad calls, and now every option is worse than it would’ve been a year ago.

from inside, this does not feel like a turnaround story. it feels like we are running out of time and options.

I don’t think there’ll be massive layoffs. Big ones are in the news like Meta dumping 8000. This is not a big RIF. My dept is barely hanging on with work we’re so slammed, so there’s no way there’s cuts. Not at the level going on here with speculation.
