Is that what we're looking at? Media reports mention 2,000 total. We all know they lay off on non-pay weeks. Apparently, it should all be wrapped up by the end of February. If it's true, tomorrow is going to get really bad. Oh well. Not like I expected anything better.
How many rounds did we have in the last few years? Is this how things are going to be from now on?
We'll go crazy before this is over. Normally, I wouldn't care as much, I can't stand my job, but have you seen the unemployment numbers and job market lately?
What else is there to say but good luck to all of us.
Does anyone know any info regarding possible lay offs coming soon? Something feels very reminiscent to this summer right before the big one.
Earthquake level layoffs in Technology
Does anyone have any specifics about when the next RIF will be. 1st or 2nd quarter?
No more next week?
Update that resume!!!!! Good source has confirmed
It doesn't feel like a win at all.
Employees with higher salaries who have worked at Verizon for more than five years may have a higher risk of being included in layoffs, especially if they have not been converted to permanent employees.
Hearing she is next.
Can’t wait to see that hug. Not!!!
Vivek and Sudharsan already got a boot.
The thought of this spilling into next week makes me feel sick.
We all know layoffs are coming at some point. Does anyone have an educated guess on the start date? Next week? Next month? Even later?
Target 75K
No paperwork needed for FPA. all manager have 1:1 with HR for their BE candidates by Feb 27.
Notification go out by March 15 of next round of Terminations. No CPM package.

I’m not here to scare anyone but share what I’ve been told and heard but I was told there’s another RIF coming 2/19.
Any specific date?
Is it true that construction is the next big hit coming? Heard it was???? Anyone have any news or rumors?

I’ve been hearing about February around my office. Just a rumor, not confirmed by someone in the know.
February
Just warning everyone layoffs are starting next Friday. India, US, Canada, EU and Mexico. Ranked by most impacted.
I have not received one. I am just curious.
I know they read from a script and they don't deviate, do they bother to say at the end "Any questions?"
I'm assuming not, and if not do they give you an opportunity to say anything before they end the call? Even if you realize that they probably cannot respond to it.
I am hearing rumor from reliable sources that CIB and CIB Risk will be huge this coming Tuesday.
Anyone have insight.
Starting the year with a big round of layoffs doesn't exactly inspire confidence. It makes you wonder if they've got this planned as a recurring event. The thought of going through this stress every few months is really depressing.
I can confirm with 100% certainty that my department has layoffs tomorrow. 8 people are being eliminated. Not sure what other areas are doing but people will be impacted 1/29.
That single digit growth can’t sustain anything and you know it. So bids on when’s the next round!
Morale is extremely low across the multiple teams I work with.
Feels horrible waiting around for the next big wave which is 100% coming before the next earnings due in February.
Anyone heard any rumors of when this is happening?
Why are company managers traveling to several remote locations this week and next? Are they preparing for more reductions or changes? PAC Northwest locations, Salt Lake, Tempe and Albuquerque sites are all bracing for quick turnaround meetings where leaders fly in for 2-3 hours, splash around, assess the morale and then fly out??? Seems strange in an era of cost savings. Who else is seeing this type of activity?
Is there a way to know if cuts are done or if there'll be more?
According to a previous post, next round 02/19. Can anyone confirm that this is correct? And who is expected to be laid off?
WARN's are filed. CA shows 1550 in numbers. Layoff on 1/26
It’s confirmed.
