EH has lost momentum, whatever he had

I floated idea that EH should go about 6 months ago and everyone was overwhelmingly negative regarding my thesis in this board.

Now, I am sure majority of the people agree with me.

If all he can show for 18 months is what we have seen. What makes anyone believe that he can come out something outstanding in 6 months to 12 months from now?

It is abundantly clear to me, that when MP & JD gutted the talents or ( designers) and replaced with techies, Nike took wrong turn on the cross and EH cannot come back with no talents there with corporation culture is keep your mouth shut and follow the group!

What happened to JUST DO IT?

SH posting about the 70’s like it was yesterday! From LinkedIn.

Let’s not forget the company that transformed how the world shares ideas and information. Xerox is known for inventing Xerography, the laser printer, the mouse, the graphical user interface, and Ethernet, all developed in its labs. Today, Xerox continues to innovate by expanding its IT offerings and creating a robust production ecosystem in print.

Despite predictions, the paperless office has not become a reality, and studies show that print enhances comprehension, recall, and memory. If you want to remember what you read, print it. More updates from Xerox are on the way.

Quantum Will Supercharge Medicine. IBM’s Milestone Proves the Future Is Near.

Was AK correct that the quantum age is nigh?

As investors await a quantum revolution, researchers are already delivering the first tremors.Look
no further than the latest study from International Business Machines,
conducted alongside Riken and Cleveland Clinic. Scientists linked IBM quantum systems
to two of the world’s most powerful supercomputers: Fugaku at Riken and
Miyabi-G, operated by the University of Tokyo and the University of
Tsukuba.The end
result was a protein complex spanning more than 12,000 atoms. While
highly technical, the demonstration has clear applications in dr-g
discovery and medicine, potentially delivering the transformation that
quantum enthusiasts have long promised.“They’re
the largest known molecules to be simulated thus far with quantum
computing,” Jerry Chow, IBM’s chief technology officer of
quantum-centric computing, said ahead of the announcement. He
is describing what IBM and Cleveland Clinic define as “biologically
meaningful molecules.” The protein simulated in this case is called
trypsin, a heavyweight in the world of biology. Without it, the body
would struggle to perform one of its most basic functions: breaking down
proteins into the building blocks it needs to survive.A lot of quantum research
has centered on this type of work, which has clear applications in dr-g
development. However, investors have been eager for results that prove
quantum computers are useful for something other than lab-scale
demonstrations.“The
hook here is that we want to go to a world where we have much better
therapeutics and things that make all of our lives better,” Chow
explained. “Fundamentally core to that is understanding how molecules
behave, how molecules interact with things such as water. In many ways,
this is the largest demonstration to date.”Kenneth
Merz, the lead author of the study, agrees. “I always go to the dr-g
discovery angle,” Merz said. “We’re developing methods to discover dr-gs
to improve human health. But there’s also this concept of divide and
conquer.”Merz, a
staff scientist at Cleveland Clinic, leads a lab dedicated to building
computational tools that apply theoretical math to biological research.
The latest experiment shows how existing hardware can be paired with
quantum machines to solve problems that today’s computers cannot handle
alone, he said.“You
take a very big problem and break it into small pieces that are able to
run on current-generation hardware, and then stitch it together to get
the global answer,” Merz explained. The team stopped short of claiming quantum advantage, a milestone many investors are watching closely.Quantum
advantage refers to a system’s ability to outperform classical
computers at a range of tasks, doing so more efficiently, accurately,
and inexpensively. While often viewed as the true tipping point for the
technology, focusing solely on this milestone risks overlooking the
incremental progress made along the way.Chow
emphasized that any claim of quantum advantage must be validated
against established, rigorous testing frameworks. The scientific
community isn’t there yet, and to date, there is no consensus whether or
not true advantage has been achieved.“What
we’re seeing is this groundswell of pushing the envelope of what can be
done,” Chow continued. “We’re using these machines and these
capabilities to look in these areas where we know classical methods will
struggle.”He views
the latest study as part of a larger puzzle. “It’s not a singular moment
in time for quantum advantage,” Chow said. “But we’re certainly in this
phase where we’re absolutely using these machines to do real exciting
work.”

hey EH I got a great idea for NIke!

Let's go back to on Nike catalog and bring back all the classic shoes and reintroduce them and put them on the pot and create all different kind of crazy color way and bring in rap artists and celebritis that has nothing to do with athletics and do a "collabo"!

What? What is that you say?

You already tried that to death and now you burned the whole market, toasted really well?

Oh, I am sorry, I was not tuned in for last 20 years.

EH you are touchy and sensitive these days.

DXC OASIS

DXC does not spin up a truly new platform in 12–18 months, especially given their engineering capacity, budget constraints, and the leadership churn you’ve been tracking.

But here’s the real story:

OASIS is built on the same underlying lineage as Platform X — but DXC is deliberately avoiding saying that publicly.

Pentera Reduces Workforce, Prioritizes AI Innovation

Cybersecurity firm Pentera is laying off approximately 40 employees. This represents less than 10% of its total workforce. The cuts primarily affect marketing and headquarters roles. Pentera is reallocating resources to focus on AI and product development. The company continues to recruit for engineering and AI innovation positions.

Two Adidas runners officially break 2 hour mark in the marathon!

For all the Nike hype and innovation that went into the Breaking Two event, I think it's pretty hilarious that it was a couple of ADIDAS runners that broke two hours and set the world record in the marathon in an actual official race!

A great achievement for mankind. Another failure for Nike.

What a waste!

Now that DF the champ of west coast software talent rehashing old ideas of low talent Michigan auto engineers out, I sincerely hope someone talk some sense into Ford executive thick heads.

Ford hasn’t shipped anything of significance since FNV2 (feel proud of that era). FNV4 would have been essentially delivered this year. Yet after billions wasted what did we get?
Silicon valley snake oil seller left with 200m and the company got a nothing burger.
Their SDV dream is as good as a dead cow in the canal, effectively years behind any competition.

Never seen waste more splendid than this. Unbelievable!!!

intel turnaround - nike caving around

bruhhhh EH if you still didn't get to spot what exactly the cancer here, you are not fit to lead - both intel and nike undergone bloodbaths at the same time and were done and dusted... the turn around you keeps on saying - bruhhh intel achieved it by rallying from 17$ a share to 50$ a share, his first decision was engineering first , he changed the entire culture of the company by going ruthless over rotten & bloated bureaucracy, one of my friend told what exactly the contents of the email - "at present we are the company of managers managing managers and you don't write code / design chips / sell the end product then your job is under review"... innovation blended with engineering is the silver bullet, i swear if the 1400 lay offs you are doing right now doesn't weigh in the lionshare of bureaucracy, then this layoffs are putting lipstick on a pig, where each year that pig is bloating exponentially

Fourth quarter and full fiscal year 2026 financial results on Thursday, May 7, 2026

heard that its likely to be the worst ever result for dXc.

Here comes mass WFR - just like Meta, AWS, Microsoft have announced this week... except dXc can't blame AI as the company hasnt worked out the innovation yet, still trying to insert the X factor.

No turnaround.. just waiting for buyers

The products are outdated. Technology is outdated.
The technology managers are useless, pretty much id--ts.
The management has no intent to develop innovative products.
The intent is clear to get rid of all the onshore employees. Let the offshore employees keep the operation running till some other company (like Visa or FIServ) buys in bits and pieces.

Doug Field - Good Riddance!

Even though I left ford in July 2022, I still want to post this. I never told anyone this story.

Doug field once told me and my team “We move as a snail and bring no innovation” though consistently our team was top performing team.

Because of constant badgering my manager quit then my supervisor and then my entire team along with me.

We all went to different companies and many are in leadership positions at suppliers and OEMs now.

When my Manager & team was leaving he said “Good Riddance” despite the team had filed 52 patents in past three years.

He constantly undermined “Ford way” and tried to rope us in with a mentality of “Tesla” or “Apple” or “whatever”.

After four years he was shown the door when he achieved nothing but lost $20B in EV “innovation”. Because of him good ford Engineers left or were forced out.

If any Ford management is reading, I want to tell you that you should consider what you lost and earned by bringing someone who never valued you or your business but in the process you let loyal and innovative people go.

I have no regrets leaving the company but I felt bad for many folks who I were left to take orders from someone who did not value them.

Sharing a perspective on where Nike could refocus for growth.

TL;DR : Nike needs to make more desirable products again and get them in front of more people by focusing on a few big hits and not over-relying on its own stores.

Nike should prioritize restoring brand heat and product distinctiveness while rebalancing its channel mix. The shift toward direct to consumer has supported margins but reduced marketplace visibility. I would recommend sharper segmentation of distribution, reinvesting in key wholesale partners for reach, while elevating owned channels for premium storytelling and data. In parallel, focus the innovation pipeline on fewer, bigger product bets across core categories, reducing complexity and improving speed to market. Growth will come from concentrating demand around iconic, high velocity products rather than expanding assortment.

This likely requires a simpler operating model with clearer priorities and faster decision making. That includes reducing organizational complexity, aligning incentives around end to end category performance, and empowering teams closer to the consumer to act with speed. There is also an opportunity to improve demand forecasting, merchandising discipline, and supply chain responsiveness to increase precision without adding overhead. Cost discipline matters, but primarily as an enabler of speed, creativity, and execution rather than the goal itself.

Thoughts?

Arvind Krishna. An Immigrant success story

From modest background, Arvind Krishna is the kind of immigrant success story people should actually talk about more. He came to the U.S., built his career through skill and discipline, and rose to become CEO of one of the most important technology companies in the world. No shortcuts, no noise—just execution. At a time when leadership gets questioned constantly, he’s focused on long-term strategy, AI innovation, and keeping IBM steady. That’s what real success looks like: earn it, build it, and lead with substance.

Re-orgs are easy, innovation is hard

Well, here we go again. We are going to start a new narrative cycle with the street based on a magical restructure. Excom is counting on this holding up the stock and holding up hope for improved performance - "we just need to make these changes first and we will be poised for massive growth over the next 5 years". This will largely be a cost reduction exercise and will set the table for massive off-shoring of jobs over the next 5 years. I'm sure the narrative will be around increased investment in R&D. Just a reminder - that was the narrative when HQ was moved to Dublin. It didn't happen. Any increase in the R&D line was an illusion. Incremental dollars never actually made it to organic Technology or Development. It actually went down over time. But don'w worry, Excom and Sr leadership will make a fortune.

BREAKING: Scientists discover smoothest brain in the world

Scientists have published a groundbreaking report where they studied the smoothest brain on the planet, belonging to AT&T CTO Jeremy Legg.

“It’s insane, we’ve never seen zero synaptic activity in a human ever”, one scientist said, “we’re honestly not even sure how he’s alive.”

“We’ve long thought humans evolved from apes, but we thought it was a one way street you know, we never thought humans could DEVOLVE from apes, until we met Jeremy.”

According to the report, Mr. Legg has less neural activity than Kanzi, the world’s smartest ape. The discovery of Mr. Legg has led to the funding of more ground breaking studies, “this opens up the opportunity to study how the Neanderthals actually communicated and thought”.

In response to the report, Jeremy Legg gave a statement to our newsroom intern, “AI is se-y, Azure is se-y, data centers are not se-y. This reporter is REALLY se-y.”

3M PSD

It’s hard not to notice the growing stagnation within 3M’s PSD division. For a company long known for innovation, the lack of meaningful new products coming out of this group is concerning. The pipeline feels dry, and the urgency that once defined 3M’s culture of invention seems to be missing. Just chasing lost business now.
Equally troubling is the apparent gap in leadership. Strong leadership should inspire direction, accountability and momentum and there’s a sense of drift. Without clear vision or decisive action, teams are left without the guidance needed to push boundaries or bring new ideas to life.
Employees feel it. When innovation slows and leadership doesn’t step up, morale takes a hit. Talented people want to build, create, and solve problems and not sit in a holding pattern.
3M has the legacy, talent, and resources to do better. But without renewed focus on innovation and stronger leadership within PSD, it risks falling behind where it once led.In addition commercial effectiveness is a total joke.

Is Automation being set up for a slow decline?

With the corporate split, two major parts of HON that have high barriers to entry are now their own companies. It seems all Automation wants to talk about is software, AI, software, AI, software, AI, which any startup can also sell in. Is the “innovating by powerpoint” finally going to come home to roost, no longer able to hide in the conglomerate?
