Self checkout in the pharmacy is already rolling out. It was talked about several month ago. This will be a disaster.

The fact that CVS began switching to self-checkout machines didn't bother me at first. Initially all machines accepted cash.
Then CVS began being penny-wise and pound-foolish. They slowly began removing the capability to accept cash at these machines. Note that all the machines initially could take cash. It wasn't as if the machines could never accept cash, it was that CVS sought to minimize staff.
People still use cash. Yes, I know, some readers of this comment will huff and puff. If you want to use plastic, if you don't care about your privacy, fine. But stop demanding that others stop using cash.
I use cash for privacy purposes. Between CVS pushing people away from cash, coupled with this CarePass or whatever nonsense, I eventually stopped shopping at CVS altogether in 2020. I don't regret that choice at all. Maybe you should do the same.
Dont use them then. At some point you need to stop complaining-while- using.
Not for nothing but some years ago I read an article that CVS wanted to become a self-checkout only company. Typical CVS, anything to save a buck.
Okay and?
