In spirit of using the site as intended, there will be the largest wave o layoffs this week 08/20/2024. Layoffs will be all week, not just Tuesday. C-Suite has a big leak in their ranks.
The REAL reason is to collect and aggregate everyone's IP Addresses in order to identify users by aggregating the data they already have on you. FACTS! Read the “Terms & Conditions”, and all 3rd parties terms & conditions. Those that are no longer an employee can still be tracked. Not just by using “The work number”.
Don’t forget, Schart is on the BOD of MS, who also owns linkdInnn. Don’t believe me they are doing this? Than you can’t handle the truth! They want to track those who took severance, and if they got another job. Let the trolls and downvotes begin. ONLY THE FACTS!

@3cjb is correct. Accrued and earned vacation time (“PTO”) is by law considered “earned wages” and must be paid out when an employee leaves the company for ANY reason.
The person below who claimed they work on severance packages was wrong when that person said “Nike doesn’t have to pay this but it does.” Nope, Nike definitely has to pay all earned wages upon an employee’s departure for any reason; including termination for cause. That person also said Nike only pays out up to 300 hours. That’s true, but only because Nike doesn’t allow you to accumulate more than 300 hours to begin with.
The other person who ironically inserted #facts into his/her post didn’t write even a single thing that was true. Again PTO does get paid out and no, it isn’t taxed at some kind of punitive rate. It also isn’t true that Nike will pay “double your PTO if you know how to negotiate.” The only way to get more money than what you’re automatically entitled to is to hire an employment lawyer upon your departure and have THAT person negotiate. Even then, that usually won’t work unless you have some type of valid, actionable claim against the company. Simply being mad that you got laid off is not, itself, a valid and actionable claim.
Finally, sabbaticals that you haven’t yet accrued or earned are typically not paid out when you leave. Nike might voluntarily elect to pay out your sabbatical if you’re close to or past that date, but otherwise Nike typically doesn’t. Sabbaticals are always discretionary and not by law “earned wages” so any sabbatical payout is always the company’s choice.
Be careful with what you read on this board. You never truly know who’s on the other side of the screen and what their agenda is.
Lol! There’s a peacock full of knowledge who sure likes to be right lol! Typical. So hilarious this is not the HR benefits website. So, anyway, you should know they pay double PTO if you know how to negotiate. #Facts lol
@1lws+1pAvWUae if you’re going to add #facts to your post you might want to be sure it’s accurate. Nike does pay out PTO up to 300 hours but does not include sabbatical, extra you-choose holiday, or COVID time. I know this because I am part of a group that works on the severances during a layoff. By law they don’t have to pay it but they do.
They don’t pay out PTO they aren’t compelled to and they’ll hold most of it back in taxes if you ask for it. #facts

Below is a blip of what is contained in the filing.
“87. The March 2020 Congressional report also faulted the Board of Directors for allowing management to "repeatedly submit materially deficient plans in response to the Consent Orders." Report at p. 36. It noted that Wells Fargo submitted multiple deficient plans that required board review and with regards to plans required by the
OCC, board approval) in response to the 2016 Sales Practices Consent Orders. The Committee staffs investigation revealed that the CFPB and OCC repeatedly rejected the Bank's compliance and redress plans required under the 2016 Sales Practices Consent Orders as incomplete or otherwise deficient. The Report noted that Wells Fargo's Board was directly involved in the process and was specifically told what needed to be done to comply with the consent orders. 27
- The Federal Reserve's staff even held one-on-one sessions with several of Wells Fargo's directors. 28 Still, the Board of Directors failed to ensure compliance with the consent decrees. For example, on April 3, 2018, Wells Fargo made its first submission of plans for board effectiveness and risk management under the 2018 Federal Reserve Consent Order. "Despite receiving consistent direction from Federal Reserve staff on what sufficiently detailed plans should include, Wells Fargo's first submission of plans for board effectiveness and risk management, made on April 3, 2018, fell woefully short of the Federal Reserve's expectations."29 In a May 7, 2018 response letter, Federal Reserve staff informed Wells Fargo that its submission was so "materially incomplete" that the plans, "cannot be evaluated by [Federal Reserve] staff.”
Brrr, BBrrrr….. oh wait, I think someone is Scharting their pants right now.

DEI has been ruled by courts to be illegal and discriminatory, first and foremost. So yes many companies are scaling it back or rebranding it as something else. However, from what I’ve seen the #1 qualification to get one of those jobs is to be a POC (preferably AA). Other than that, believe everyone else is racist or discriminating, while pushing for discriminatory practices against others that don’t look like you. #dontShootTheMessenger #facts #DEIisJustReverseRacism

You sound angry. Have you reached out to 3M EAP resources for help?
Personally, I've been WFH ever since I was forced to (by 3M management) when the pandemic started. I find I work FAR MORE working from home. Instead of regular 8-10 hours, more like 12! Sometimes 15. I'm completely exhausted. #facts

Do people write things blindly without even fact checking? Does BofA really hire such nitwits? Do these same ding bats think people are as clueless as them?
In the history of the recorded world, there have been many plagues/pandemics. Many of them have lasted over two years. The first Bubonic plague circa 500AD was active for 21 years and then it came back two other times for another ten or so years, each time. To this day it still rears it’s head, latest episode being in 2006.
If you think this pandemic is done, think again. The way the world has failed to mitigate this issue is a harbinger of things to come with climate change. Dark times ahead.
And yea, Bank of America forcing everyone back in is ridiculous. It’s a well established fact that both vaxxed and unvaxxed can spread Covid. #facts
Two-thirds of American adults are fully vaccinated as well as over 80% of seniors (most vulnerable). In no scientific text book/process does vaccinating a clear majority of adults & super majority of vulnerables lead to this kind of result.
Something. Isn’t. Right.
Gov’t has been wrong the whole time. Every step of the way. Either that or we keep spreading disinformation about the “risk”. For example, the # between age 0-18 in 2019 that died from the flu equals the # between 0-18 that have died from Covid. #facts you haven’t heard. Pull CDC data on both topics.
