they have about 3-5 postings in their engineering section that at all apply to anyone at Denbury. Unless some denbury folks can go to midstream and downstream type of roles. Doubt any of them want to do that.
Exxon is actively moving their Engineering and Geology positions to India. Don’t let the job postings fool you.
Is that why they are hiring?
Given the sale....this will likely happen in Q4 instead. XOM doesn't need most of us....they're bloated already.
Ccus is a drain. A huge government program but so uneconomical it’s ridiculous. I don’t think it’s good to make light of someone else’s perspective.
We hired new people in my group and laid off a couple of weeks later a few years ago. That means nothing.
CCUS is a fat drain on the other business.
LOE going up, oil production going down, oil prices hovering around $70/BBL, mighty CCUS is negative cash flow, and we have a small army of VPs/Directors who all must weigh in on every single decision above $10,000. Sounds like a recipe for success.
We've been hiring (several hires in the last couple of months) and still have jobs posted externally.
Feels like we are a guppy in a big stock tank of gigantic catfish with CCUS. Maybe I’m wrong and we are the puffer fish everyone fears. Maybe we would get a good thank you severance.
What recent Exxon rumors? Did i miss something?
Me too! I really like and appreciate my job and see that we could have the rug pulled out with no payoff like management will have.
I hope the newest Exxon rumors don’t play out
It's so funny how many times this has been said over the least two years and it hasn't actually happened. We had a bad run, but with little to no debt we're in a completely different situation.
There’s a better chance someone sleeps with someone else’s husband…. #facts
Heard it here first just like the Exxon acquisition :)
Fake news.
