Topics regarding layoffs at Denbury Resources Inc.

Exxonmobil is the opposite of common sense!

Exxonmobil is an absolutely mo--nic company! Denbury micromanaged us down from 120% efficiency to 60% efficiency! Exxonmobil plans to take us down to 30% efficiency! Exxonmobil is ran by mo--ns! No common sense exists in this company!

New Buyer

Any actual leads on who might buy Denbury? Also, how are all the employees doing that Exxon put on PIP?

Next Stop....

Looks like everyone is landing over at CapturePoint. That'll be Denbury 2.0.

People left

How many Denbury people will be left at the end of next year?

Unemployment Benefits?

Has anyone filed for unemployment and actually been approved for weekly benefits? I applied a few weeks ago but a lot of people I've talked to say I probably won't qualify for payments since I got a severance package.

Death by a thousand cuts

they're going to slowly sell every asset but the CO2 stuff one field at a time. Then only the CCUS stuff will be left. They only wanted out pipeline infrastructure.

This transition has been extremely sloppy

Expected more from a company like XOM. Everyone I have spoken to, myself included, feels like they are in the dark. Transferring laptops and cell phones and health plans, etc with very little coordination of communication. This transition is... — read more

Retention Bonus

Pioneer here, when you were offered a job at XOM, was there a retention bonus attached to the offer or any type of incentive?

Conroe?

What's up in that field?

PXD here - relocation package

For those folks from Denbury that accepted the offer to go to Spring, Tx, did Exxon gives you a relocation check and would you be willing to share what it was? Was it a % of your base offer or did everyone get the same lump sum amount?

Rumor me this

How many people are leaving after the second bonus? Or, is everyone waiting for the bonus in May? Guesses on the percentage gone? Closest guess wins

Exxon Positions

When everyone got their offers; did you get offered the same position as before or did you get a new title / position with Exxon?

Pioneer Here Again

How much vacation is XOM giving you? Is it a reduction of what you used to get or did they match your vacation that you had already?

Salary Sharing

Why don’t we share our XOM salary increase from our previous base salary. This will be interesting to see if it was inline with what we were told would be included in our new base salary.

Pioneer Here

At Pioneer, we haven’t heard much on how the whole process of job offers if there are any are going to happen. Did you have to interview, or were offers just extended based off of resumes? Thanks for your responses.

We would hear how great DEN was back in the day…

We would hear about the great Denbury, how happy the people were, the great culture, pay, benefits, working environment… Sorry to hear and see how sad things have become. There was a time we hoped to be a part of that. …not what’s left today. — read more

February Offers

It’s getting real now. sad. it’s good that we only have to wait 4-6 more weeks to find out if we get an offer and for how much money. scared of decisions that come next though. hoping the best for all. hang in there everyone.

Is this site still active?? No posts s8nce November. Yes I know XOM but still

No Severance

ExxonMobil has no intentions of paying anyone a severance package. They will string everyone along until you get fed up and quit.

End of an Era

The weight of the situation seems palpable in the office today. Who knows what tomorrow will bring, I hope a package soon for me because what I've seen of XOM I do not like.

Place your bets!

How much more will we actually know the week of Nov 6 than we know now? I'm going with 1% more.

Something about the deal with Exxon doesn’t seem right

2 weeks out and all we have heard is don’t worry XOM is alright with the corp office keeping the same schedule. This almost seems like they are doing a fire sale sometime in the first 6 months and just piecing out the pipeline.

Pioneer’s CEO Cares

How come Pioneer knows more in a matter of hours (severance, bonus) than we know 3 weeks from closing?

Bonus

When will bonus be paid?

Attorney’s interpretation of severance plan

Is anyone thinking about getting an attorney lined up to interpret denbury’s severance plan against the X offer they expect? Some of the pivotal factors seem vague and subjective especially when it comes to being offered a similar position. Who... — read more
