Layoffs will commence the December 19,2025 - January 30,2026???

Any truth behind a previous post that claim that layoffs will commence the December 19,2025 - January 30,2026? We are entering the final 3 days of this supposed truth about when layoffs are happening and nothing major has happened. With the stock getting ready to dip below $40 is it possible layoffs could happen sometime soon?

This Is What Value Destruction Looks Like

Since the notorious 8/1 email, the stock is down 16%. In just the first month of this year, it’s already down 6%. That’s not volatility or bad luck, it’s sustained value destruction.

Billions lost on bad acquisitions, billions spent on buybacks at higher prices, rising operating costs from rigid RTO and unnecessary real estate, and now plans for even more capital intensive projects. None of it has produced better execution, stronger cash flow, or improved shareholder returns. The market sees it and has rejected it.

RTO didn’t create culture or discipline. It increased costs without creating value. You can’t talk your way into confidence or mandate your way into performance. Investors don’t reward slogans or control. They reward results. And the results, both in stock price and capital efficiency, are undeniable.

I said it before, I'll say it again ...

Thing is, they lay off all your closest colleagues (various departments) until they ki-l off the business, leaving the few remaining staff overworked, disengaged and depressed. Then they say we can only recruit more people when we grow the business. And so the downward spiral continues (a bit like the share price).

CarMax to cut corporate jobs in the Richmond region

CarMax is moving forward with large-scale layoffs that will hit its corporate workforce, particularly in the Richmond region. The job cuts represent a notable downsizing of the company’s corporate operations. Workers based in CarMax’s corporate offices near Richmond are bearing the brunt of these reductions as the company restructures and looks to control costs.

Layoffs March/ April- end of Q1

Yes there will be another round end of Q1. First round was timed perfectly before the end of the year. That being said, to balance the sheets, more cuts had to occur at the beginning of the year for faster turnaround times for revenue increasing strategies in place.

It is happening and will continue to trend the same patterns as the Q4 layoffs.

Lots of questions as to if it will be geo based like the first rounds were or if it will be more results based strategies for the target. The answer is both are being considered.

Agent companies have already been scouted for these locations. Some divestures will be March and then the rest in April.

One thing I did hear is if your location has black tile sales floors, that is is ideal for agent companies to transition (don’t ask why, I didn’t hear but it’s strategic placement)

The Biggest Casualties of Trump’s Year of Government Cuts—and What to Expect in 2026

Some parts of the government have been hit harder by mass firings and buyouts than others. The Partnership for Public Service found that just three agencies account for more than half of the total staff reductions in 2025: the Defense Department, which has lost more than 60,000 employees; the Treasury Department, which has lost more than 30,000; and the Department of Agriculture, which has lost more than 20,000.

More layoffs are coming

Yes, more layoffs are coming but not before new year... all signs point to January/February time frame. Its about time they do something about our decline! They should have leaned out a while back but didn't want to pay out people's packages so instead they tried to push people out or change people's job to create a scenario that would allow them to let people go without a cause.

Bumping this for info, the OP is @10d+1kbqefsjs.

Massive layoffs in Texas in 2025

It’s been a rough year for the Texas job market. Several industries have been hit hard by mass layoffs as corporate headquarters ditched the Lone Star State for greener pastures, sometimes leaving the United States all together.
