Cyber Attack or IT Messed up the update?

Let me know what you think of today’s mishaps, everybody got sent home, I’m from engineering and literally nothing we could do.

Random person here. Definately not IT/BT. Its not a cyber attack. It was a stupid incompatibility issue with a cloud provider (cant say more than that on something public facing). QA showed everything was fine and our 3rd party also gave us the green light. Took so long because of 2 main reasons. Severs in charge of handling critical network traffic went down since it couldnt 'cloud'. So it took a lot of coordination from several parties to get things back up. Other reason, super disappointed in support, it was like every 15 min the tech had to hand off support because it was end of shift.

Uh - this is the part where I say we would probably had better support (you know, NOT having to go through 3rd party) if we had more $ and more manpower. But, you know ...

I was told it was a problem with an update they did overnight and we're unable to fix it by 11

I'm second shift and the computers on the floor late last night were acting very wonky. Mine completely froze just before clock out time. It was a scramble to find a working station to clock out. Still not sure if the time will be right. They canceled second shift today. Snow day but with beautiful weather.
