At this point it's best to just ignore it. There's no telling if this is trolling or just another soothsayer

To the person saying layoffs are happening in March, please give more details. Seems like there is still a hiring freeze on new and backfills for everything by except touch labor.

Id concur with the manager guy. The projected plan for AC deliveries was just as unrealistic as boeing's from a while back. Classic over promise and under deliver.

There's also a ridiculous amount of employees in any group that love to whine and complain, even when there's something good that happens for somebody else. The upper management is just as ridiculous and there's just as many degrees of separation between and upper and middle management as there is middle and lower management. It's cr-p all the way down, but a po-p fountain at the top.

Dude you’re funny as well as clueless. You think because you turn an fn g wrench everything will just fall into place. Managers are stuck in the middle dealing with those who whine about everything you can imagine and the executives telling you to just make it happen. Works both ways dude.

Are you serious? Wtf u whining about. You get a bonus by simply telling your team "hey get this done" and move on to God knows what. You don't turn wrenches anymore, you just sit.... and prob bi--h about how u have to work 50 plus hours cause of meetings.....jesus

Most won’t know what your slang term means maybe you should spell it out. Although it seems pretty appropriate for managers who are getting a reduced bonus because we missed our plan, which is hilarious seeing as I can’t as a manager really impact the plan without the contributions or lack of contributions from my team? Yet they get 100%.

Gulfstream is always hiring and laying off like Boeing. It’s not a good industry if you want a stable job.

Yes let’s just call it overtime pay for the exempt folks that was taken away except for those special groups who get to keep it. So managers get 15% and directors get 35% and the masses get 2,500. The question I have is who is making the decisions as to who gets what GD? I already had one of my mechanics ask me why I was only eligible for 90% of my bonus this year and if that was going to happen to eip bonuses as well. I guess we stay tuned as I dont know the answer to that.

Managers get 15%, Directors 30% targets. Even if it’s 90%, it will be better than the masses.

I 2nd what the previous commenter mentioned all except for those very specific groups lost special (why don’t we just call it overtime?) pay. We had a record breaking Q4 with almost every statistic YoY better. But because some absolute genius upstairs decided to complete aircraft without engines, everyone suffers. All the high numbers and we still fell under the target their professional analysis set. Tiny violin for the managers. They are only getting 90% of their, what is it… 20% of salary bonus. They aren’t on the same bonus scale as the masses (2%+4 if you ask nicely).

From what I have heard from friends of mine exempt special pay went away for all exempt employees except those in service engineering and those ear engineers in completions. I rarely ever got approved for exempt special pay so not that familiar with the rules only going by what I’ve been told.

I am exempt and in Completions, and our special pay went away starting Jan 1, not sure what the previous post was talking about in regards to this. That being said, after about a decade of my current position, I've finally seen enough of how the sausage is made and no longer care to be involved in this part of the business. I am actively looking to move back down to an hourly position where my only concern is showing up and doing my little part, and not having to pretend to support the decisions made far above me that negatively impact a larger group of people

You can feel the tension building, first you have changes to tracking time with the new UkG payroll system with the new clocking in and out requirements, new ot rules for the hourly employees and all the policy changes implemented by the employee not friendly HR grand master. Then you have the elimination of exempt special pay unless you are special and work in customer service or completions and finally as my manager showed me today that managers are only getting 92.5% of their bonus. Seems like a lot of taking with little giving . Wonder what’s next

General Dynamics earnings call indicated profits hurt because aerospace missed expectations. Not so sure heads aren’t on the block. It is Gulfstream after all.

Record Q4 is good to hear, maybe things are not as dreary as the weather has been lately

Not the guy from the original response, but record as in we had record deliveries in Q4.

I'm still not going to say layoffs are or are not coming but it is definitely a good sign.

The Feb 30th thing is probably someone gaslighting
