Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

Completions or “incompletions”

The rumors were there and had been growing daily now I know they weren’t rumors but reality. As my Manager explained my new role as a hourly supervisor last week doing the same f-cking job I was doing before and that I should be happy because I’m now making 1.5 in ot not the 1.0 in ot I’m making now. Never did get an answer or reason as to why the change and why the increase in cost when every week were being told budget is tight. Another f-cking hr program rolled out by the cHRo lol. Did I bust my a-s to get where I am to be told that I’m not a manager? Can you say culture ki-ler.

How does that old saying go? Two steps forwards 3 steps back /// all we have to do is keep making requests aka demands and the HR follies will continue to change the board and raise our pay or at least that’s what they tell you. Organization realignment is what they called it when we were first told of the new job structure, sad it’s been 6 months and they still can’t seem to put a bow on it.

Leader experience and People experience teams know what they are doing. Stop trying to troll them.

Not to worry what is done can be undone, it appears that not a lot of thought was put in by the so called leader experience brain trust. More to come as that cHRO is not finished wrecking the culture yet.

They're supposedly so worried about retention, but now they decide to start demoting all their Ops Mgrs. 10 years ago they converted all us supervisors to ops managers to be more fair with pay, now this?!

Former employee, no insights into current activity. RIF time is a rough one for all, especially around the holidays. Sorry you guys are in this situation. With a likely RIF coming, this may reduce a manager job, and keep you (in a different role) rather than being part of the RIF. How it works out OK.
