Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

FOR SALE??

Are we being sold? There are signs that are pointing in that direction. Policy changes, new uniforms, old equipment being replace and taken out on flatbed, fresh paint, fire codes and inspections being done, as well fire systems being replaced and repaired that haven't been in years. Something is going on.

To sell or not to sell? If sold I believe it would be to one of GD's shell companies. Alot of big companies do that for tax purposes. Make few structure changes, uniforms, fresh paint, maybe change up clock times and vacation/pt time to make it look like new owers but really its just so they can claim a loss come tax time for another 7 years or whatever the limit is.

There are departments with so many broken tools that they can't get replaced, Gulfstream says it's not in the budget....

If you see people pushing the land measuring wheels, that's a sure sign. Observed several times at GAC.

Need to have one or three RIFs before selling off.

Still too much of a cash generator for GD to sell, however when your tasked with designing, developing, manufacturing and servicing the most sophisticated and technically advanced business aircraft you can’t let finance run the company at the expense of engineering and you can’t let the woke HR ki-l the culture. Can you say Boeing
