No change for remotes

The 5 day a week is just for 'hybrid', there is no change for remotes. Obviously Dell don't want remotes and they plan overtime to phase out all the people who stay remote but there is no change coming for them in Feb

Bonus payout for remote workers

Does anyone know if the second class employees (remote workers) are even going to get a bonus this year (or a percentage)? What is the HR directive for managers?

Handing in notice and RSU, bonus

I'm sure many people here are finding other jobs and getting ready to leave after they have bonuses and shares vested. Guess my question is, when can you hand in your notice and still get paid? If you are serving your notice, can you still get your... — read more

RTO announcements and remote workers

I'm seeing more and more posts concerning this. I've not seen anything so far with any validation. Just lots of similar conjecture and then when anyone asks for specifics, there isn't any reply. This makes me think is it all lies? Or can more... — read more

Expect more attrition strategies beyond RTO

They want to get rid of as many of us as possible for free. The short-term trend is clear as day - reduce the costs, fluff up the profits, extract money, offshore everybody and their mothers, replace workers with speaking cans, and enjoy while it... — read more

RTO is not hybrid only

remotes will be affected as well. Trust me on this. Dell is a mind-hive. They view remotes as a problem. whats slowing them down is over 50% chose remote over hybrid. So if you are remote I hope you are looking for an exit. Otherwise dell is... — read more

All of the jobs are going to India

As plain as the nose on your face. And as for the manager trolls who post on here, your jobs are going too! The move is on, the mood music has been set. All of the support jobs will be either served by AI, or else performed out of the low-cost... — read more

Just another attempt to get people to quit

That's all this whole RTO thing is about. Severance is expensive. Paying people to leave is not as good as getting them to walk out on their own. Other companies have done the same thing with the same goal and had great results because people would... — read more

Remote RTO Rumours

If all these rumors turn out to be false about RTO, I seriously hope someone's getting canned.

RTO will at least make me leave, finally

I’ll comply unless I have to relocate. Relocating these days is a costly yet futile endeavor - you'll likely lose your job anyway soon after you make the move. I'll take the RTO as seriously as leadership is taking us, and the company for that... — read more

I'm not giving a notice

Two people I know quit and gave their notice, only to be told on the spot they were done. It's good to know this ahead of time. Since I'm close to accepting an offer, I can plan my exit accordingly and skip the hassle of a long notice. I'll give them... — read more

This is what will happen with RTO

Remote abs hybrid is going away in Feb, everyone will be onsite Remote people will be given until end of calendar year to relocate

RTO email.Feb 3rd

If there is an RTO email coming on Feb 3rd and it's also a day for layoffs, then it will be a big exciting day !!

IT quietly using chatgpt to respond to you

Had a strange issue recently where we created a support ticket. The ticket was technical in nature. Most of the responses we got back made absolutely no sense but were made in such a confident way. Confidently wrong is the term i would use. It was... — read more

Posts being removed

Does anyone one know why posts are being deleted? There was one earlier about a RTO and now it's gone. Are they automatically deleted upon a number of downvotes? Seems to happen a bit.

Job search has been a nightmare

I'm still here, doing everything I can to find another job. I've been at it for months, and it’s been an incredibly demoralizing experience. I can’t remember a time when the options were so limited, if you can even call them options. I've applied... — read more

It’s simple Mike doesn’t care about his employees

Let’s face it. Mike doesn’t care about his employees. If he did we’d have clean buildings, services and an actual cubical or office. He wouldn’t constantly post messages about himself and how he started the business. At the end of the day he... — read more

Is there a chance to the hybrid / remote policy coming? When will it be announced

Very quiet considering its almost Feb

Usually this forum is alive with rumours this time of year, are the feb layoffs going to be really small this time around ? Any idea of groups affected and total %

Dell is a total snake pit

At this point their mgmt team is a total snake pit. We’ve got a major cultural issue that we need to fix. Any layoffs should target leadership not ICs. At this point working at Dell is just a job. I go to work, do my job, keep my head down and... — read more

Dell nothing more than smoke and mirrors

Let’s not forget the total smoke and mirrors that our leadership team came up with over the summer. Total smoke and mirrors marketing did nothing but put Dell into a poor position strategically. Boosted stock price, great for Mikey and his... — read more

Salary range

Management view that Dell pays rather well compared to the market but while do I feel we get sc--wed at the end of the day especially with commission and modifiers…thoughts?

Naming conventions for CSG

Embarrassing with our new naming conventions for CSG, hardly original. Couldn’t Dell be a bit more creative?

DEI and ERG

When is Dell gonna be punished by the media for DEI and ERGs? These policies have wrecked CSG’s ability to perform and execute in the marketplace.

We're hiring again

It's been a while, but we're finally seeing some hiring in our group. I'd like to think that means we're beyond layoffs, at least for now, but it's hard to stay positive and optimistic given everything that happened last year (and in the past few... — read more

My Manager said RTO 5 days a week

I'm shook, I thought it was all nonsense and then bam we got hit with RTO 5 days a week. How is that even hybrid at all????? Fml

I've changed quite a few companies

But there's no slog like this one. Yet, it feels like I'm just spinning my wheels, waiting for the whole contraption to fall apart all at once. I’ll take the first reasonable offer I get. What an unfortunate set of circumstances that I found myself... — read more
