Hearing whispers that Dell might scale back to a three-day office requirement due to space constraints. Nothing official yet, but the chatter is getting louder…

what's a lob? THought it was spelling mistake until I saw it three times.
people need to remember there are a lot of locations and lobs. specific locations which are over capacity will have their own instructions, which for some lobs in those locations will mean fewer or no days in office. this won't apply to locations where plenty of space, and even in the locations with capacity constraints they'll prioritise 5 days a week for specific lobs.
8 hours mandatory for all businesses units. Coming to a theater near you.
That would be nice. I already miss the lunchtime rendezvous with the cute doctor accords the hall
Wishful thinking turned into rumor. Even if it were true I wouldn’t want want to haul my stuff in every day and find an open space to sit
day care morning programs, kindergarten. Most have to leave by 1 to drive an hour to get home, remember.
What kids get out of school at 1 pm?
8 hours a day will force people out much faster than coming in 5 days a week. Lots of folks leaving at 1-2 pm to pick up 'kids'
lol! Heard from whom….a like-minded co-worker?
Interesting because I heard they are about to mandate 8 hours a day in the office
Doubt it'll happen. Still lot of empty desks the Utah office.
OP is MD
MD will make you work in the car park and hot spot off your phone..
Did not notice space constraints in 176 in Hopkinton since RTO.
Not a chance. They will reinvent the work area with rows of shared seating like picnic style.
I've heard similar things too (going back to 3 days like they did last year). Again, just rumors, but hearing it would be around Summer (maybe early June), depending on how things shake out with the big RTO currently taking place.
I wonder how many people will choose to leave the company after bonus time....
what’s the point of forcing people in if they’re only staying for three or four hours because there aren’t enough desks? It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard. If you can’t even accommodate everyone properly, why not just admit remote work is the better option and move on?
