People with full time offers and WFH

Just curious how those of you with full time offers AND WFH designations (due to office proximity) are feeling about the acquisition? I’m definitely getting the sense that there are two camps forming within VMware: The unlucky RTO camp And The... — read more

The irony of the situation...

In VMware I had a car allowance and I worked from home. Now, they suppressed my car allowance and I have to go to the office. Thanks Broadcom!!!

Return to Office is not evidence based

It's not based on metrics for how well we actually do our jobs. It's not based on any study. It's not based on a comparison of individual contributors during work from home vs working in the office. Let's just call it what it is. Return to Office... — read more

Broadcom stock potential growth

Just a discussion about how much this stock can perform in the future. I'm deciding if it's better to keep it or divest and put everything on my diversified S&P 500 ETF (on accumulation base) This stock is mainly driven by earnings, dividend and P/E... — read more

AVGO shares and cash cost basis

How is the cost basis calculated for the former VMW shares? On E-trade, I saw the cost basis for AVGO shares is $0, does that mean if we sell, all the sale amount will be taxable? Doesn’t seem right to me because we paid for the VMW ESPP shares and... — read more

eTrade cash for partial shares

The cash value for partial shares accepted for conversion is still not deposited in Etrade. Lets say 31 shares were submitted for conversion to AVGO and you received 7 shares. Cash value related to 3 VMW shares (around 0.75 AVGO) is still with Etrade... — read more

Any transition offers in EMEA?

Hi all, Did anyone receive or heard about any transition offers in EMEA? Reason why I'm asking is that although I got new offer, all communication coming from Broadcom indicate that there will not be any need for my role in couple of months and I'm... — read more

RTO no later than Dec 4th - Really?

Seriously HT? You are not giving people enough time to make necessary adjustments before RTO. I have a routine for the past three years that I'm trying to figure out how to handle. I'm a single mom with three kids and also care for my dad who is... — read more

Puppy

I’m going to use my severance money to buy a puppy. I don’t really care about BC or VMW lmao

Food for thought...(this is a sincere post, truly)

Broadcom have never competed against the public cloud, until now. Selling software is a beast, you’re going against the best. Selling hardware is transactional- it’s easy to sell when all you’re competing against is pricing. It appears to me that... — read more

How exactly do you define EUC in a selloff?

Lots has been written about selling off EUC, but how exactly do you define "EUC"; and what exactly are they going to be selling off? Sure, I could see them easily separating out the old Airwatch MDM and the WS1 stuff, but what about Horizon VDI... — read more

Will BC Force The Change?

I wonder if BC are going to be able to change VMware as much as one person at the top wants to. I’ve read all the comments and seen the articles online about the company meeting, back to the office and so on, but no one can force a culture change... — read more

Reject FTE

I wonder if there are people who refused FTE? I understand that conditions differ depending on the country, but I don't think I've heard of any actual examples yet.

Unvested VMware RSUs?

I can’t see anything about unvested RSUs on the FAQ. What will happen to those, are they terminated or will they be converted to BC stock with same vesting schedule?

Payroll question for exiting employees

Where do I view the new paystubs for 11/30 and the next one 12/15 if my VMW login access was cut off? Do I still have access to VMW Workday? Also, where do I make HSA payroll deductions. Trying to hit the annual maximums and need to make a change... — read more

How much fast things change
