If you were getting layoff these RSU would be expedited and you would receive them. I'm wondering if this goes for transition employees as-well?

The Dec. 1 RSUs were vested over a period of a year. Broadcom decided to put people on layoff on Nov. 27, 4 days before they were due to be released. VMware has a dirty policy of not giving out the RSUs if you aren't employed on the day of release. People were told that they were in a 60 day notification period and that they termination date would be Jan. 26, 2024. Broadcom owes these RSUs. Let's see if they pay them out. I still don't have any communication about them. When I look at eTrade it doesn't show anything at all. My account is entirely blank.
I also got retention RSUs but have not heard anything about them. I'm still waiting for my Nov 1 RSUs to get to ETrade. I'm wondering if they will give me my Dec 1 vesting as technically I'm still employed until Jan 26 but cut off from everything. It's a sh-t show.
The vesting period was 3.75 years ending on March 1, 2026.
It indeed was accelerated and reduced to 2.75 years, to end on March 1, 2025.
Laid off and Transition employees will not be on payroll till 2025.
So, accelerated vesting is only a fun carrot now.
Unless people fight for it with VMware and Broadcom !!!
The way my grant was written was if my employment was ended before 6/2024, 25% of my RSU grant would instantly vest. If yours was written the same, then even if you are transitional, if you are let go within 1 year if the rsu’s being given, then a percentage should instantly vest.
Sorry, 6/20/23 was date given RSU's. 06/01/24 is the first release amount that was to be expedited for employees layoff. Does this appy to Transition employees?
