Noticed over 1000+ people reporting to 1 person. I myself and my team are all reporting to this individual, we are all transition employees so figured we are all under her until we get canned. Any thought? Anyone hear anything about this structure eventually being figured out and narrowed down to a reasonable reporting structure. If this stays this way I wonder when I’ll have my one on one.

Everything seems tentative, until the next round of layoffs. We're all dispensable.
Won't even notice the difference. Managers did fu-k all before the acquisition anyway. That's one of the reasons it got sold including racism against white people because of the un communism.
First step was getting everyone into WorkDay under the area they will be working. Next step is to arrange the org chart and get everyone under the correct managers. As they don’t know who will stay or go yet, they’ll be waiting to do the shuffling around and realignment. You will not all be reporting to that person, it’s just a holding pattern
Hock mentioned this in the coffee talk in Palo Alto last week. There are never more than 2-3 levels between any employee and Hock. That’s how it always was in BC.
I think there are various “parking lots” in the BC org structure, temporary ones for those who will be leaving.
It’s what HT referred as “flat” structure, don’t worry cuz you’re not the only one as many have hundreds of people under one person. I’d suspect it would eventually turn into something like dotted line regardless. For now just relax and see whether this is something you wish to continue
My thought is don’t let the door hit your a-s on the way out.
