When (if) they call your number, how does it happen? Is it your manager? Someone in HR? Do they set up a meeting time with you in advance for a different reason? Any things you should do to be prepared?

Even if there aren’t other jobs available. No paycheck is worth being worked into the ground and treated like garbage. When your health ends up in the gutter, you won’t be able to work at all anyway.

So, with everyone stating the 15 of July is layoff day we shall see what happens tomorrow. However, all of our layoffs have happened on a Wednesday or Thursday. Been through several just awaiting the chopping block.
