What’s wrong at Raymond James?

Just saw over 550 job openings on their website and over 250 are newer postings. Guess people are leaving as fast as they are hiring. Brain drain must be bad.

Client Access and supporting help desk is Garbage

Long time account holder with considerable assets. Constant issues with automatic payments......never any reason for the issues, just ask me 100 questions that they already have the answer to, then say everything will be in good shape now as if they... — read more

They are absolutely disconnected from their employees

I don't expect any changes for the better here since I've become convinced for the hundredth time that those at the top absolutely disconnected from their employees. What will this result in? My opinion is - nothing good. I don't believe that they... — read more

500 million for tech but what about the people?

Just saw an article with Paul being interviewed and him claiming that RJ is going to invest 500 million in tech. My question is if things are so good why isn't RJ investing in people, why are there still 500 plus job openings. I hear that RJ IT has... — read more

RJ Seems Oblivious to its Salary Problem

Those who make the real decisions at RJ know what everyone else does: RJ has a salary problem. Paying people in beaches and sunshine doesn't fly when competitors no longer care where you work. There are over 600 positions waiting to be filled... — read more

Acquisitions

Does anyone else find it crazy we had the layoff and immediately continue to buy other companies? I feel bad for some of the staff that get to “join” us, albeit sometimes temporarily.

so nice to hear how difficult RJ HR is having it

For over a year RJ has had on average over 500 open positions. As fast as they hire, someone leaves. Sometimes it's the newly hired having discovered how difficult a work place RJ is in certain IT areas. Yes I am one of those let go and yes I am... — read more

Why are we hiring from the outside?

We are bringing in more people from Wells Fargo. Why? There are plenty of capable people within RJ who could be put in those positions, and who earned to be put in those positions. No wonder so many are opting to leave when there are so few... — read more

Anyone still at RJ in the IT area care to comment?

It would be nice to hear other sides of how things are at RJ? I have been gone nearly a year and those I still talk to are negative on everything. Can anyone give some honest insight as to how good or bad things are?

RJ HR is losing ground

I heard thru the grapevine that Paul has decided if a position is open for more than 60 days it is no longer needed and that they will be taken down. RJ front line managers are having issues and HR isn't helping. Don't you just love it.

Nobody I know still at RJ is positive...

I was one of the 550 let go 18 months ago. I have stayed in touch with about a dozen former collogues, most but not all in IT where I was. Not a single person has a positive thing to say about the current RJ. They are simply going thru the steps... — read more

Poetic justice

RJ laid off employees at the worst possible moment and decided not to bring them back when it was possible to do so. Instead, the company decided to hire new people. Well, now there's a labor shortage, RJ is having trouble hiring and is actually... — read more

It's been 18 months, how is everyone doing?

Hope every one of the 550 let go in September 2020 are doing well in whatever they decided to do whether it is a new job, retirement or new career. I also hope all the "worker bees" still at RJ are doing ok even though it is a he-l ho-e workplace. ... — read more

RJ disaster test coming next weekend.

I have heard that there is big worry within IT about the upcoming test mostly due to how many key IT technical resources have been lost. Maybe Bella, Vin and Andy will have to logon and help. They can at least validate that their accounts are still... — read more

Sorry state of affairs in IT

First, I left in the past 6 months (not saying exactly for obvious reasons). I know of at least 5 others in IT that have left by either retiring or quitting. I also know a number of IT folks still at RJ and for obvious reasons laying low. There... — read more

Talent is in the back seat

Talent is irrelevant when compared to who you know and what box you can check off. Professional experience used to mean something here but those days are long gone. If anybody is wondering why most of the talent is leaving, there's your reason... — read more

If you know somebody who resigned, do you know what their exit experience was like? I'm most interested in knowing if the two weeks' notice is necessary if I want to leave a door open for possibly returning in the future. I don't hate working here... — read more

Another dividend increase and more stock buybacks

Hope Paul has a great Christmas thinking about the 550 families he let go when there was absolutely no reason to do so. He truly is the Grinch who stole Christmas.
