Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

Anyone still at RJ care to tell us how things really are?

I'm long gone and out of touch except with a couple close friends and most of them have also left RJ. I put in nearly 20 years and countless hours, nights, weekends to this company and was fine with it until it became clear after the most recent layoffs that RJ didn't care. After the layoffs and how these human beings were treated I started looking. It took me nearly 6 months to find a great job in Tampa. I made sure to use every sick hour available to me and let the vacation time accumulate since sick time is not paid out but vacation is. I don't know why I waited so long.

I gave up and left 3 months ago after nearly 15 years. Stress is unreal

Honestly, it's not that bad. Look, I completely empathize with those who were part of the layoff. I've been there, it fu----g sucks.

Was Paul deceitful about it, and has he shown a complete inability to identify with us "normal folk"? Absolutely.

But if you are truly looking for an honest assessment, it's this: things are status quo. The pay is still below industry standards, and the culture that is touted died as long ago as it did previously.

Will I stay? Maybe, maybe not. If anyone is blinded by some loyalty factor that's on them. I will be where the best opportunity for success exists.

But at the end of the day, it's not like RJ is terrible.

Glad you left. I was one of the lucky ones that was let go (escaped) 22 months ago. Best thing that ever happened to me. RJ's true colors were shown then and still are there. I still know a couple of "hanger oners". Loyalty no longer exists. Worry about yourself and your loved ones.
