It is already starting. None seem to care Mark is fired. But many do not like the vagueness around which products OT is selling. Who wants to make a commitment to tech that some other company may own or that OT will stuff into a dust closet until... — read more

Paul is the right guy for the job. This company is in trouble without him
Future exits
With all the changes taking place at OpenText, when do you think there will be a layoff or exits of non performing sales reps.

I hope we get lucky with the next CEO
Not that I trust leadership to be capable of choosing someone truly competent, who’d be good for both us and the company. But I guess it can’t get much worse than Mark. Maybe, at least, the next round of layoffs won’t be outright sla-ghter.

Long before Mark was fired because he didn't meet the conditions of his PIP essentially, OT has been readying ADM and ITOM for sale. These will be the first to go.
Has OpenText Fired Mark Barrenechea yet?
That's the question I typed into google every work day morning for the last two plus years. On to better days!
How does leadership square this?
Mark fired or pushed-out people that didn't support his views - how does any of the leftover leadership square being able to succeed there? They all enabled him. All of them should be name defendants for fraud and breach of fiduciary duties. ... — read more

is AI to be blamed for CEO being fired?
I feel bad for the people who were laid off in March and April. It didn’t have to happen that way—they should have decided to replace the CEO earlier instead of cutting employees who rely on their paychecks. Was the CEO fired because of AI?
If you were the CEO and got let go today, how would you respond?
Personally, I probably wouldn’t look for another job — I might just sell everything, buy an RV, start a YouTube channel, and travel across the country.
How would you describe your feelings about CEO being let go today?

If you could pick a CEO from the current ELT or Board of Directors, who would it be?
My vote for us would be Paul, but I see on another thread he may not be the best option.
Did the Board find God or are they bound to make the same mistake
They are, after all, the ones that let Mark run this place into the ground. They should have all been let go to, unless they found God and see the error of their ways.
Paul Duggan should be the next CEO
Paul is a smart, honest leader. He also cares about employees. It’s time the LOVE model gets implemented internationally.
This is for everyone that M scr_wed over

Shareholder Lawsuits
Right after I left I was contacted by a few firms that wanted to "debrief" me. What will happen with the suits that were hovering out there. Mark pretty much oversaw billions in misallocation and capital destruction.

Mark B was cyber everything, numbers on that BU were terrible. First BU to go will be MF Cyber too expensive to maintain the employees are hard to retain.
Mark is gone effective immediately
Is this good or bad though lol
Mark just got fired HAHA
Long long overdue. The company can now get back on track to making good products instead of funnelling money into The Hut’s pockets. The board members finally woke up from their decade long nap. Good riddance.
