To those left being overworked and unhappy

The irony of the layoffs is that those left are even more overworked and unhappy. While those that were laid off enjoyed a paid summer vacation. Being in a stressful job environment makes life very challenging and can drastically impact your health... — read more

Social media posting

Just curious. Does Nike still instruct employees to refrain from posting controversial and/or political opinions on social media? One of my former coworkers is constantly (several times per day) posting partisan material on her socials and I can’t... — read more

Six years ago, I joined Nike full of optimism

Great brand, seemingly stable industry, clear career paths. Today, I can honestly say it's the worst professional decision I've ever made. Despite consistently top-tier reviews and taking on responsibilities two levels above my pay grade, I've been... — read more

2024 layoffs

I was let go last year, and after 12 months all shows that JDs and his leadership’s led reorganisation was exactly as it looked: improvised, misinformed, led by leaders and consultants that had no idea how the company run. In my team they let go... — read more

I’ve given up on Nike

Nothing is ever going to improve. I can’t focus on my work anymore with the constant cuts, reorganizations, and the never-ending state of mismanaged chaos. It might be tolerable if this were just a transitional phase leading to something better, but... — read more

APLA big news

I heard some big news about APLA and a huge restructure involving CS being moved roles. Do we know what's going on here? Thanks.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .

Every time I ask my manager anything... The response is: ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Nike laying you off is doing you a favor

Nike's layoffs are like getting fired from a toxic relationship. It hurts at first, then you realize you’re free. The only ones crying are the deadwood who’ve been coasting for years. Pro tip: severance + a new job = upgrade.

we are out of woods!!!

stock went up by 10 percent! Because we deliver such great news? or just shorts covering after having a great slide down. If I knew, I would not be in this site LOL But Nike is human labor intensive company!! Layoff and going bare bones will... — read more

EH convinced me

I’m seriously not a ra-ra person. I hate that sh-t. But i think he’s gonna lead the turnaround. Laying out the bad news. Not taking a bonus. But pointing to a legit path back. Maybe I’m a su---r, but I believe.

How many teams are down to bare bones by now?

How many would completely fall apart if even one more person gets laid off? They act like they can keep cutting forever, but eventually it’s going to catch up to them. Things will stop getting done, and no amount of spin will cover that up.

54% WHAT A JOKE

They pressure all of us. Constantly chasing goals as though they matter. In the end, it’s all a lie. The are id--ts, the empire is crumbling, and every one of our numbers are going to get called. This company is terrible. A failed shell of a... — read more

EH Email - End of Year Update

Sounds pretty ominous. Thoughts as to what's in the works? Some snippets - "I wanted to give you a heads-up about an important plan to evolve how our teams are organized. The approach is that cross-functional teams across Jordan, Nike, and Converse... — read more

Less talking, more running

I want to see Faith run, not a bunch of hype. And the stadium is mostly empty, stop comparing it to a Beyoncé concert. Who’s in charge of this thing?

[NOT TECH] Earnings call

How do you think we’ll do? I’m hearing from my friends, it’s not awful but not great. Some things are looking up but we’re struggling.

Get to work

To those complaining that all posts are tech, please get off this site and design some shoes that sell and some marketing campaigns that inspire and let us complain about tech leaders while we wait for you all to get us back on track. We’re not a... — read more

We should all just leave and never look back

Especially those who’ve been at Nike for years. The magic is gone, and it’s not coming back. Even if everything else were somehow going well, leadership is too old and out of touch to come up with smart strategy or products people actually want. But... — read more

10 Predictions

IDSA absorbed by business & DC impacted NA Layoffs before return to Main Campus. Why do we need so many people in NA if sales are declining in NA and other geos do the same biz processes with less. (APLA) Also not enough parking spaces and room... — read more

GT meeting "we aren't a tech company"

Lesson is if you aren't some cheap third world person you're going to be replaced. Brush up those resumes and call your friends, if not this fiscal year then next we are fubar

“Why are we replacing US roles in India?”

“Quality solutions, less tech debt, easy to hire a ton of warm bodies.” Our leaders are so out of touch and sooooo comfortable lying straight in my face while wearing the biggest smile. This single answer ruined my day. Thanks Nike!

It is big picture!!!

everybody in this platforms seems to be worried about what is going to happen in their small world. Let's look at the big picture. Basic source of your malaise is the fact that Nike cannot come out with items that can click with public, specially... — read more
