Chemicals spin off

I heard a rumor that Shell will announce a spin off of chemicals after first quarter results if they are “good enough” (whatever that means) and will fire the leadership team if results are below that threshold. Any confirmation? Other rumors?

summary of posts

doubt LT or HR is reading posts from this site, but they probably should

regardless, maybe they'll stumble here and read this 4 sentence summary from the last 14 days of posts here.
yes, they should be getting a rolling 14 day feed to their inbox daily, but probably can't figure out how to do that, or if they even care, tbh

well, here it is anyway:

The Nike employee community is currently defined by a profound sense of anxiety and a breakdown in trust, as workers brace for rumored "March-April" layoffs.
Morale has plummeted due to a perceived lack of clear communication from leadership and a declining stock price that employees feel reflects mismanagement.
Many staffers report extreme burnout and a toxic environment, leading some to openly wish for voluntary severance packages just to escape the company.
Ultimately, the consensus reveals a workforce that feels undervalued and deeply pessimistic about Nike's future identity and stability.

More layoffs coming to TCS North America

The plans are in the final stages for a MASSIVE Layoff of all H1-Bs from TCS North America. This is due to huge pressure from the Trump Admin for any and all suppliers to the US government to eliminate ALL H1-Bs from payrolls if you want to be a supplier to ANY DERIVATIVE government agency, you need to eliminate all H1-Bs from your payrolls.
That means there will be an ELIMINATION of all H1-Bs from TCS USA payrolls.
Most H1-Bs should plan on moving back to India or wherever you were sponsored from as things are about to get very ugly.
This action is due to TCS aggressively eliminating US citizens and replacing them with cheap slave labor from India or wherever they were sponsored from.
Goodbye H1-Bs, you had a good ride but it’s over now.

Salary buyouts are on the way

I have now heard this rumor enough to feel confident to repeat it.
Salary buy outs are on the way.
55+ and 30+ and you are a candidate.
Finance Barbie wants people off the books.
Her glasses are too dark but I like her.
She is fairly authentic.
But still not sure how they spread that 19.6 billion around.
Stellantis binned it all in one year and gave UAW ZERO!
I think we got lucky and next year will be a *
I personally will take my 9 or 12 months and hit the road.
Good riddance.
Saves me retiring with only one days notice.
You don't have to give any notice by law so you know.

Employee Ownership

Are our "shares" worth anything? Is there any kind of exit strategy for KKR? I know they aren't pleased with the company's financial performance but will they eventually cut their losses or is there a possibility that we get sold soon? Any rumours on potential suitors? I need something to look forward to this sh!t is bleak lately.

2026 JE Calendar Dates

Anyone know if the JE calendar was updated for the rest of the year? I heard there was something in April? If IT is really moving toward a 70/30 HIH/US split, it seems like there will be quite a few more JEs coming up. Low key hoping I get the axe 😬

Some

Heard a rumor that this restructuring led to somewhere near 50 people getting title changes like “soft demotions“ and it’s in these people didn’t even lose their salary but they’re going to be asked to train others on what they do and then demote them further (with pay cut) or eliminate them by end of Q4

earning report here is my take what do you think ?

the remaining restructuring budget mentioned in report is : $639M

if they target high-pay areas (US/Canada Seniors): The number of layoffs will be lower (closer to 10k–12k) because the $639M will run out faster.

If they target low-pay areas (Global Support/QA): They can easily hit the 20,000 number to reach that 30k total. - this include the 10k from late 2025 as its under the same budget mentioned in the earning reports
