it does not feel real, but it is real
if you search in linkedin for #opentowork opentext, there have been a few layoff, I see one in Colorado, one in Utah and one in NYC...

@979g Most likely, he/she will continue to su-k up like all the other managers; it's the only thing they're good at and have the courage to do – they certainly don't have the ba--s to contradict their immediate superior. After all, 250k is better than nothing. Besides, no one wants to miss out on another SKO party, and how would it look on LinkedIn if you suddenly posted that you were #OPENTOWORK?
Keyloop is increasingly reminiscent of a large "company" located in the western hemisphere that calls itself the United States. A crazy leader with a ha--m of subordinates who, despite knowing full well that their boss has no idea what is going on, follow him through thick and thin. I wonder if both "companies" will suffer the same fate?

Everyone could change their LinkedIn status to #opentowork. ELT has openly signaled layoffs so this would let them know their message was heard.

You do know that you aren't forced to work here, right? May I suggest changing your LinkedIn to #opentowork? Your incessant bi--hing isn't going to change anything. If you're dissatisfied with this job, you are welcome to go find another.

Leadership is already scrambling to do damage control this morning. As usual, “It’s just all rumors and hearsay - don’t lose focus.”

Yeah, don’t lose focus and let the company crash and burn before we say so, as we parachute off into the sunset as you’re updating your LinkedIn banner to #OpenToWork.

Seeing new TU #opentowork posts on LinkedIn. Same happened to me last year. Took months to land a job. But I’m much happier.

You will find a much better company than TU. Your mental well being deserves it.

Again?

Did Reebok have another round of layoffs? I’m noticing a lot more #opentowork posts on Linkedin

Would you ever post on LinkedIn that you are looking for a new job?

That is while you are still employed. I keep seeing people who tag their posts with #opentowork and I think they are much braver than I am. Are they that certain they are indispensable that they do not care that somebody could see their post and alert their manager to it? More power to them, but I'd never risk it all like that.

#OpentoWork

Lots of these from Citrites in the last week.

"Hi everyone - I am looking for a new role and would appreciate your support. Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer. hashtag#OpenToWork"

  1. Yes, this was coming, but no one should say I told you so
  2. You have a good network, tap into it. Lots of Citrites in great companies who can vouch for you
  3. Drop the "#OpentoWork" sign... Geeze. Just make it visible to recruiters. You are not desperate. That sign does not help you.

I see SAS people on linkedin with the #opentowork banner and October SAS employment end dates. Not every laid off person is going to come and post on this site.

For those that are on LinkedIn you can search posts for “optum” and #opentowork

Can do the same thing for “uhc” and “uhg” #opentowork, to see how widespread these layoffs actually are.

"Arizona, Texas, Florida, Philadelphia, Illinois, and Michigan, as well as places as far afield as Canada and Denmark"

"Reg noticed Microsoft workers all over the world posting #OpenToWork status notices on LinkedIn within the last few hours from various other US states including Arizona, Texas, Florida, Philadelphia, Illinois, and Michigan, as well as places as far afield as Canada and Denmark"

There are so many posts on Linked In right now with both Coram & CVS tagged as well as many tagging #opentowork so it will not be long until someone in the media picks this up. We can only hope right?

You aren't alone! Check out LinkedIn and see how many BNSF employees have #opentowork listed on their profile; Director level all the way down to the craft!
