What if on a PTO today? Few in my agile team are on PTO today. What happens if they are on the list?

I just got a flash call put on my calendar for tomorrow at 8:30am. I can’t see who else is in the meeting, but it’s with my CAL. Any insight on what this meeting will be? Will layoff notices continue to be sent out tomorrow? I thought people would be informed today.

How many people from Connect were impacted today?

I've seen several people saying different things (unexpected scheduled meeting, email...) so which is it? Or is it how a manager decides to let their people know?

Anybody?

Is this less likely? How would someone even be notified if that were the case?

Currently on leave and unsure of where things would stand.

Accounts locked this morning, did they accidentally surplus people before the planned date?

Heard people will start getting notified from May 18th in the US. Also heard the entire IT in Costa Rica will be shut down? Does anyone has any other info.

As a people manager, I can confirm I received list of associates I'll have to let go.

My manager probably received the same.

We all have mandatory trainings tomorrow to break the news in stages on Thursday.

Just like level 4-7 associates, level 8 and above won't know their date until Thursday.

I might well be outside the door after breaking news to two of my exceptional performers on Thursday.

So it is happening.

It probably means more layoffs today.

The consensus seems to be this Thursday. I haven't heard much beyond that. If the rumors are true, does anyone know which orgs or roles are on the block?

Well I got a 5 minute meeting on the calendar. Wasn’t going to wait until Thursday, so just called my manager and got the news. I’m apparently the 10th one they’ve told already this morning.. Band 7 is getting hit the hardest it looks like.

…and it starts TODAY! Thoughts? Seems like another avenue to push employees out the door. There was no fanfare or advanced notifications about this and every time they try and hype it up like it’s a good thing, it turns out being another ruse to justify more layoffs. Anyone buying into this nonsense?

With all the rumors, I'm under stress if more invites are gonna be sent or invites have already been sent. Any concrete information might help me prepare or destress myself. Thanks!

UK invites are already going out. Anyone know when other countries will follow? Please share whatever you're hearing.

So far I’ve only seen directors and lead engineers get the invite. Guessing the Jr engineers are up next today or tomorrow?

How and when is the May Beat scheduled. It's typically scheduled about a month out and we're already at the end of April without that. If we get an invite in a few days for one at the end of May, you can probably assume that nothing super dramatic is planned in May. If it comes out late and is a short notice beat scheduled for just after earnings you might go hmmmmm even though nothing is certain. This is not a prediction. It's just something to watch for.

Hearing a rumor that there will be layoffs and notifications beginning the first week of May. Any truth?

There were more layoffs in the Data and AI org in TPX yesterday. Unsure how many total were laid off but it was more than just the higher ups they said in the email.

Did we hear anything new on potential May cuts? Or has that rumor been debunked?

I haven’t been given any formal tools, dashboards, or defined thresholds for tracking RTO attendance on my team, but I’m hearing a lot of specifics (e.g., ~50% thresholds, rolling 2–3 month averages, automated notifications).

Are other managers actually seeing concrete metrics behind the scenes, or are these assumptions based on when HR flags something?

Hi, ex-employee from San Ramon here (left prior to the beginning of the year). I received a notification from USPS that I was supposed to receive mail from Chevron with a 6001 Bollinger Canyon Road, Building T, Room 3164 in San Ramon (hmmm...how long has it been since the move to Lakeside), however it never showed up. It also had "Important Documents Enclosed". Address and memo were both preprinted. Anyone else get something in the mail with similar markings and can you leave a comment as to what it was? I already tried to report to USPS but looks like they took away that functionality so there is really no way to trace a piece of mail that they were suppose to have delivered. Thanks!

I keep hearing that this Thursday the 23rd is the notification day for GNT. Anyone else hearing the same thing? If you get notified, how long before you would be off payroll?
