I’m so sick of this

I used to think that people who complained about all the Indians were racist. But the last six months have been ridiculous. Each wave of new hires is like 90% Indian in tech. There is something seriously wrong and dishonest with a company that hires like that. Managers pretend like they don’t see it. They get rid of the long timers- US citizens and replace them with Indians over here. It’s getting worse not better.


FWA and Frontier will save us !!!

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Verizon reported 319,000 total Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) net additions. This performance brought their total FWA subscriber base to over 5.7 million

Frontier reported Q4 2025 results with $997 million in revenue, beating estimates despite flat capacity year-over-year. The airline achieved a $53 million net income ($0.23 per share), with $874 million in liquidity, benefiting from strong cost controls and an improved revenue environment.


I feel little awkward

The atmosphere at Oracle right now is honestly exhausting. It feels like everyone’s on edge all the time—you can’t even go grab coffee or step into the bathroom without overhearing someone talking about layoffs. It’s nonstop.

I kind of regret bringing it up to my manager. I thought I’d get some clarity, but it was just the usual vague “our org might be impacted” answer. Now I’m overthinking it, like did I just make myself look anxious or put a target on my back? I hate that I even opened that door.

And honestly, we’ve all seen how this goes. They’ll use this as a reason to freeze raises, skip promos, no stock refreshes, and then expect the same people to pick up all the extra work afterward. It’s hard not to feel cynical about it at this point.

Even if I make it through, I don’t know how much longer I want to stay. I’ve been a top performer for six years and it’s been… fine, I guess? But not in a way that makes me feel secure or valued. And now with all this going on, it just makes everything feel kind of pointless.

Also, the whole AI push here feels so surface-level. I’ve been working on my own stuff outside of work, so I’m actually interested in it, but internally it just feels like teams are scrambling to throw together basic agents so they can say they’re “doing AI.” We don’t even have the data to do anything meaningful. It’s frustrating to watch.


toxic work place

QCOM is extremely toxic place to work . Hire young people and torture with no pay over time then damage health due excess stress then throw out when nothing left to squeeze out . So don't accept offer if offer is not highly competitive to compensate all the wear and tear they make to employee life.

Boeing has been the greatest disappointment

Engineer here, first job out of school. I thought I was the luckiest when they offered me the position. Three years in and I have no idea what we're even doing. They've messed up from every angle you look at it, and the worst part is they're not even trying to make it better. It's like they can't decide between short-term savings at any cost or wanting to be a competitive company. And it feels like they've given up altogether.

Anyone here from Military OneSource contract?

I work within the Military OneSource contract. I can best describe it as an ethical and operational nightmare. Raising legitimate concerns has resulted in me being gaslit, dismissed, stonewalled…the list goes on. Worst work environment I have ever been. Oh yeah, I’m over 50 too. 👍


Movie Recommendation for all navigating this environment

"The Company Men" (2010)
It was made after the 2008 financial crisis, but honestly it feels like it could've been written in 2026. A lot of the dialogue is almost verbatim what many of us are hearing now. Very relatable.
Was recommended by another ex-Citi'er. It is free on Amazon Prime and several other streaming services. Worth the watch.


Verizon is dying

I just talked to TMobile about switching and they were less than what I am paying at Verizon even after the employee discount and they are giving away new phones and they have a 2 year upgrade pipeline. Verizon's network coverage seems to have gone to sh-t.

I don't think even Dan the Hatchet Man can save this sinking ship.


Feeling low, this place is eating at me

I’ve never felt this way and I’ve been here a while but I’m feeling so defeated here. The environment is cold, uninviting almost morgue like. We no longer have our own “place”. That has been taken away. We’re expected to be okay with all the changes they have made that benefit them but not us. We’re expected to align and become these cold blooded creatures that are okay being mistreated. I can’t do that. I’m a human being, we all are. We have emotions and we want to feel appreciated. I miss the old U.S. Bank.

PNC is so stingy

Sorry, just needed to vent. This company is so stingy. I cannot believe they don’t reimburse lunch while traveling for business and have certain hours for dinner. I arrived at my hotel at 11:30 starving because I have been flying since 5 pm and I literally just a bunch of single serve creamers to try to deal with my hunger pangs.
Also, almost no one in my department seems to know what they are doing. They pay cr-p so all they can afford are inexperienced people. The poor analysts are bombarded with too many deals. Hire more people at entry level. Their salaries are the lowest.

Should have known how stingy this place based on their branches. Hated being a customer at a branch with no teller. The ATM and virtual teller constantly glitched out. Ugh!

Former Employee regarding pay at Hanmi

I worked at Hanmi for close to 5 years pouring all my effort into performance.

What did I get in return?

  1. Sh-t pay and overworked
  2. Toxic work environment
  3. No sense of development or ability to climb the ladder.
  4. Politics amongst management
  5. Managers that don’t really care about development of their employees’ career advancements.
  6. No change of salary negotiation even with an offer letter from somewhere else.

AI is an iceberg and we're on the Titanic

I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer here, but AI is no where near artificial intelligence but more of a language mirror able to apply some logic. But Centene seems overly gung ho to implement it everywhere. My team has been getting Chatgpt responses to emails for over a month and now copilot??? We're just going to ignore the environmental factors??? I'm sure our members will find it so easy to stay health when there's no f***ing water to drink. Well, those members that can still afford their healthcare that is


Constructive Discharge

Fidelity has now turned to a systematic process to create a hostile or intolerable work environment that has forced many long term tenured employees to quit or resign. While there have always been the dinosaurs that hung on for purely the comfort of a paycheck, we have now pushed into a full blow game plan of pushing out the knowledgeable tenured employees that care about doing a great job for a once great company. Gone are the days of Standards or Care as they have been replaced by a systematic performance management system that has been put into place to do cut costs at any expense. Clients now can either pay Fidelity to manage their money, buy annuity offerings, get farmed out to WAS advisors or find a new home for their assets. Fidelity has now become just another Southwest Airlines, another choice for customers to make based on cost-benefit and convenience. A business decision for all of us to absorb and then make a decision for what's best for us as the days of being Fidelity's most valued assets as an employee are over. I want to take a min to appreciate the WLB here

Looking at this comment on r/cscareerquestions "Literally everyone and their grandma is going for roles with good WLB.

Since a lot of people have been completely burned out by how companies have been treating them the past few years and want a break. Also, the number of relaxed companies has been decreasing. So it's very high competition for extremely low supply. Wouldn't be surprised if there's only a couple hundred roles that fit this criteria in America right now.

Your best bet is to go for a company with a non-toxic culture, but still expects a decent amount of work. There's barely any true vacation homes left."

I just want to take a moment to appreciate the environment here at Teradata. Management here expects a decent amount of work but isn't going to break your back and that is something that is truly special <3. Just want to share something to remind you all that we've got a great culture & WLB here- all while contributing to a mission that is still important.

Act accordingly, decline work without training, refuse to chime in for other people's role( you will be graded for their work while they skate away from work), clock in and out 8 hours, use your vacation and sick, take care of health, when it gets hard take mental health day and don't compensate by working hard rest of the week. Do not disclose your medical problems no one is your friend, NO ONE. Do not train anyone on your team for anything. This includes anyone in lower cost locations. For whatever reasons you have to stay at shitibank, play the game but sometimes know this isn't life and doesn't define you.

Shitibank has Eric trumps account since Oct 2025 and explains the Dec 2025 partial lift. You can count on consent order going away very soon. It's all a facade anyways. If you are in this role delay, stall and get out as fast as you can.

Career killers

What are we left with in GT?

Out of 14 VPs left, we have 2 maybe 3 decent leaders left at the VP level in GT.

Others are highly toxic, backstabbing, have no vision, will sacrifice their team to make themselves look good, lack technical, product, or design competency.

Make no mistake that sooner or later all of the above will impact all of us even if you are in the space that is isolated from it right now or are able to talk you way out of it (at least for now).


Erosion of People Culture at Dell

Over the past two to three years, there has been a noticeable and troubling shift in Dell’s people culture. What once stood out as the company’s strongest asset—the fabric of trust, inclusion, and employee-centric values—appears to have steadily deteriorated.

This change feels less incidental and more deliberate. Decisions increasingly seem driven by cost-cutting and downsizing, with little regard for preserving the culture that once defined the organization. Instead of investing in engagement and retention, there appears to be an unspoken acceptance—if not encouragement—of voluntary attrition as a means to reduce headcount and save money.

It’s disheartening to witness the gradual unraveling of a culture that many employees valued deeply. What was once a source of pride has now become a cause for concern—and that is truly a shame.


The downstream effect?

Curious if anyone else is seeing or feeling the downstream effect of what’s happening at the top of the house. I don’t mean the obvious things, I mean the intangible effects of the changes and stress.

Is anyone else’s team acting differently? People more isolated? Less collaborative? People acting like aholes to each other? An every man out for himself feeling, where it didn’t exist before?


Honestly, MUFG is a great place to work.

The people are smart, supportive, and easy to work with, especially offshore IT teams and there’s a real sense that everyone’s pulling in the same direction. Management gives you room to do your job without micromanaging, and the focus on long-term thinking makes the work feel meaningful instead of rushed. It’s a solid, positive environment overall. Five star company for sure.

Many of us warned them about tmobile and they laughed at us. In an HR all hands we called it out and the silly HRBPs were like sheeps - singing the “tune” that they are forced to implement. And where did that got VZ - a total failure

As we all gather to spend time with family this holiday season dont forget to educate them about our beloved company...

  • Tell your MAGA in-laws how many of your American coworkers have been replaced with offshore Indians by Cigna.
  • Tell your Mom and Pop that despite working for a Health Insurance Company that Cigna has still increased your health insurance by thousands of dollars a year.
  • Does little Sally need a bedtime story? Maybe read her one about how a brave knight slays a parasitic PBM middleman like Express Scripts.
  • Is your uncle into the stock market? Bond over talking about how bad the Cigna stock is doing. Its okay CEO David Cordani's pay is almost completely based on stock but yours isnt.

You wont get a lump of coal for doing any of this because Cigna said during the Townhall that they have set aside money to spin a more positive image of the company. Funny how there is always money for that and mergers but never for paying talented American humans.


Planned Change

Many of the changes that are made are planned 12 years in advance. They are broken into smaller runs that lead up to the final piece. Instead of making everyone fear their jobs wondering who will get the ax next and creating an unsettling environment, why don't they just make those plans public? It would give people an idea of whether they should apply for a job and how long they should be in their job. Morale would improve I would think because people wouldn't be whispering wondering who will go next. I have worked in both environments here where people knew well in advance their job was ending and when and where people thought it might end looking at signs but they were unsure. The environment where people knew well in advance was not very stressful. A few people left early but most stayed until the end then moved to other departments or retired or went to another company. There was no bitterness, nothing negative really. It was very stressful where the people didn't know. I accidentally found out one person's job was going and they turned down early retirement. I wanted so much to tell them they should take it but I couldn't. It would also be nice to see what the company is planning across the globe in the future. The information is out there. Why not be transparent and share it?
