RCDN shutdown

Folks ; LRs coming hard by end of ,month or June , RCDN site is going to have the same faith as SJ, do you think building 5 and 6 will be saved, guess again, 6 is not coming back; war made a terrible job and they never gave maintenance to AC ; it’s all covered in mold that has been there for at least 10 years , the building is sinking and Wes’s doesn’t give a sh-t , they gonna sell it out just like sj buildings

5 will stay for a year but remain closed , they are trying to clean as much as they can just to say hey we cleaned it who wanna buy it

9 it’s on its doom too; there are cracks all over the place, Cisco already looking where to migrate the production data centers in there

On top of it layoffs coming hard , first place to cut people will be RCDN all the load to be moved out to Sherlock, bgl or Mexico , whatever is cheaper

Maintenence Tech

The idea that a fiber technician can properly maintain a hybrid fiber coaxial plant with limited hours and frequent outages while also disparaging the expertise of outside plant technicians , and vice versa referring to us as maintenance technicians, is completely ridiculous always trying to reinvent the wheel when you know this Altice Optimum experiment will always be nothing but a ponzi scheme

Namdar and Kohan malls

Honestly, these landlords shouldn’t have anything to do with the Macy’s name if they continue to own malls with the stores in them.

The writing really is on the wall when you see a mall owned by one of these two. I think that if your store is owned by these companies, then you should probably be scared. Is it safe to say that the company should adjust their closing locations in relation to these slumlords?

Sorry, I’m just a little upset for the condition of the mall I used to really like and since it’s been owned by one of these two companies, it’s gone to absolute he-l regarding maintenance and tenants leaving, and overall neglect.

Imperial plans 2026 turnarounds at two Canadian refineries

In 2026, the ExxonMobil affiliate will execute turnarounds at its Strathcona and Sarnia refineries aimed at boosting efficiency and meeting upcoming environmental standards.

Key Highlights

Imperial Oil schedules full 2026 turnarounds at Strathcona and Sarnia refineries to boost performance.

Maintenance at Strathcona targets 197,000-b/d crude unit following record 10-year run.
Imperial projects 395,000-405,000 b/d 2026 throughput, 91-93% utilization across Canadian system.

ExxonMobil Corp.’s majority owned affiliate Imperial Oil Ltd. has scheduled major planned maintenance events at two of its Canadian refineries in 2026 as part of the operator’s ongoing strategy to maximize performance and profitability of its existing assets.

Imperial will complete full turnarounds of both the 197,000-b/d Strathcona refinery near Edmonton, Alta., in western Canada, and the 124,000-b/d refinery at Sarnia, Ont., next year, in line with its corporate downstream strategy to improve operational performance via enhancements to logistics and processing flexibility at the sites, the company said in its 2026 corporate guidance outlook for investors on Dec. 15.

The Strathcona refinery is currently scheduled to enter maintenance during second-quarter 2026, with Sarnia’s turnaround planned for third-quarter/fourth-quarter 2026, according to the company.

Without revealing detailed project plans for the scheduled maintenance events, Imperial confirmed planned works at Strathcona would focus on the refinery’s main crude unit, which recently achieved its longest-ever run length of 10 years.

The company also suggested turnaround activities would presumably include works to further prepare the refineries for upcoming emissions-related regulations set to take effect in Canada.

The operator previously scheduled smaller-scale turnarounds at all three of its refineries this year, including Strathcona in second-quarter 2025, Sarnia in third-quarter/fourth-quarter 2025, and the 113,000-b/d refinery in Nanticoke, Ont., in second-half 2025.

Confirmation of the 2026 turnarounds at Strathcona and Sarnia follows the operator’s completion and commissioning earlier this year of the Strathcona refinery’s new renewable diesel production complex that combines a mix of locally sourced renewable feedstocks such as canola oil and blue hydrogen (hydrogen produced from natural gas with carbon capture and storage technology) to produce 20,000 b/d of renewable diesel to help decarbonize Canada’s hard-to-abate sectors in line with the transition to a reduced-carbon future.

In addition to announcing the two 2026 turnarounds, the company said it expects 2026 throughputs of 395,000-405,000 b/d across its three-refinery Canadian system, with an anticipated systemwide capacity utilization of 91-93%.

Downstream Layoffs resuming

Building engineers

If any higher ups that are still employed and have access to Dan, just a thought. I was curious, I heard 50% of building engineers were let go in new England. 1 person to cover a entire state. I hope you realize we are heading into winter. A lot of the sites are remote. Expectations are they can get to a site within two hours. Please try and understand the logistics of this and thier jobs and everything that is involved in the regular maintenance, the preventive maintenance and say nothing about the emergencies. Getting there how far is the nearest help? What happens when a site goes down? What happens if multiple sites are on generator and they are required to be on-site? Also if they store fuel in large amounts ad most do there had to me a person certified in proper fuel and tank issues on site! They are also required to be on call 24/7 and within 2 hours from site. Please explain how that is going to work? Also what happens when someone needs PTO? is sick? Death in the family? Just curious what is the average cost for a sire going black? This is not sustainable! It will end badly, trust me! If you think you are going to hire outside contractor you definitely should not be in the position you are in.They bring nothing to the table and good luck finding anyone that is reliable. This also will end badly. Keep the union ,make it stronger. I have never seen a more dedicated group then I have seen in the Verizon union building engineers. They are fully dedicated and loyal to a fault and will do anything that is asked of them. You have tried Cushman and Wakefied has been a disaster to say the least! Building engineers are responsible for multiple properties and are responsible for facilities worth millions of dollars and keep them functional and keeping the customers and thier equipment running and thier services up.You really need to rethink this! Warned in advance.

UK North Sea E&P facing tipping point. APA options

What is the predicted outcome for Apache in the North Sea? They are looking at a 4 billion dollar Abandonment responsibility. How will JC handle this unprecedented challenge? Production declining like he-l and maintenance on basic life support. Who or How is this paid?

Share your most dangerous Chevron Facilities…Purpose improvements even though management does not want to spend money

Detail your biggest concerns at the facilities you work at…
Lots of corrosion and lack of integrity monitoring since Covid…

The purpose is to share and hopefully improve HSE conditions. With recent acquisitions field and office personnel have not been concentrating on safety and integrity and it’s starting to become evident…

Boy, you hit the nail right on the head......

@e1+1k4876rt2

So we want to shift out of the ERP Biz and eliminate any further support for the Maintenance Biz by 2027. Yes, that's right the Maintenance biz for which Siemens by itself pays +50MM per year - a huge amount of revenue will be lost. Our leadership simply says, it's not what we want to be any more.

As was stated in the reference post above, this surely will open the door for 3rd party companies to come in and take over our maintenance biz.

Well, it has already started - have a look: https://www.stocktitan.net/news/RMNI/kbs-partners-with-rimini-street-to-accelerate-its-ai-twpgtdekm3ca.html

KBS is one of largest broadcasting corporations in Korea and they have refused to switch to S4 Hana. So not only will SAP lose the maintenance revenue from this company, it will lose them as a customer on other platforms such as AI investments.

By the time we get to 2027 we will have lost an amazing number of customers to third party maintenance providers and we will also have lost a legacy of future investments from all of our lost customers. What a brilliant idea this was !!

How well our C level team is guiding the company for future growth :-)

Mechanic Perspective #Maintenance

Overlooked losses on the maintenance side cost this company a lot of money. That’s what you get when the good ol boy system makes managers when they shouldn’t be. Money management was a farce to these people. No accountability for maintenance processes or procedures. Burn a pump up, probably get a raise. Just hired hands as numbers to make sheets work. You’re average frac hand can barely spell his name, but trained by another guy that just figured out to pump gas in his car. I’m grateful I was able to learn from some old school.
