Looks like a couple people are being trimmed from most teams across multiple office locations. Charlotte, Saint Louis, Denver, Stamford. This just came out of nowhere. No severance offered to the people I've talked to who were randomly fired either.
Town and Country Network Operations Center is seeing layoffs as of this morning, no word yet of how many. The Maryland Heights office had at least 9 layoffs
Anyone or insiders hearing anything about another round of layoffs? Word going around is that more cuts could be coming soon, possibly linked to the recent divestitures and leadership changes. I’ve heard talk that Sales, Marketing, and Engineering might be hit again, especially non core or lower performing roles. Curious if anyone’s heard when this might happen or which groups are actually at risk.
Half the company could disappear tomorrow if we just removed everyone who only goes to meetings and relays updates. Let the ones who actually do the work run things for a change.
...when AT&T was cutting cutting cutting and people said "That's what "AT&T" now stands for." We've come a long way, huh?
Hi its Rual, i have to present another bad set of results on the 30th please can you help me with some excuses. I have the standard ones like were growing the business, more new managers appointed, more cuts, and i will throw in AI. If you can help please post your ideas, i need to get trick the analyst again.
So all the Big Swinging D!cks got together this past week to figure out how to get rid of more people or whatever and they had a bunch of guest speakers talk leadership to them. Interesting list:
And these people were telling our leaders how to lead. Watch out over the next few weeks
fun fun......
Restructuring Budget (FY 2026): Up to $1.6 billion
Implied Layoffs: ~10,000 – 20,000 employees (depending on mix of roles and regions)
Early FY 2026 confirmed layoffs: ≈ 3,000 – 5,000 publicly reported so far
Remaining reductions likely spread through late 2025 and 2026 as part of Oracle’s AI-driven reorganization and cost optimization efforts.
Are you ready for the bloodbath on 10/23 and 11/28?

Difficult day today for us old P&I staffers....seems like our entire MGT team has been wiped out. Tammy's reign of fire is upon us. I'm gonna believe her heart is in the right place but I'm in the minority. The mess that Deb Thorpe created (why was she feted so much when she left???) has finally come to bite us in the a-s. I don't feel good about where we're heading, gang.
Does anyone know if there are going to be cuts at the Evening news? Do we know if anyone took the buyout?
Managers? Directors? Sr. Directors? VPs?
The 2 yr grace period is coming up, who’s ready for them to start giving some direction after the first week of November.
Good luck
They’ve been doing small surgical cuts across teams for 1-2 years now. Mostly to move roles to India. Would they make cuts on those same teams again?

So, how many ppl got displaced yesterday? Am I missing where it’s been mentioned in here already?

TL;DR:
The Trump administration terminated about $100 million in grant funding for the Ascend Elements battery plant in Kentucky.
Construction at the company's site is paused but is expected to restart in 2026.
Ascend Elements stated the grant termination does not change its trajectory and it will seek other funding sources.

Layoff at Trane in Bloomington, MN today.
Let's see how the rest of the year unfolds
because the coast guard is expected to drop Peraton as the prime contrctor, it is easier to cut the subs first and then move on to the prime... IMHO - they have done a poor job supporting the coast guard.
i have heard from multiple uscg feds, contractors, and dhs feds that uscg has wanted to replace them for a while.
This is just my opinion, i dont have any insider info.
Goldman Sachs has informed employees of potential job cuts and a hiring slowdown through the end of the year, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters, as the Wall Street giant aims to use artificial intelligence to enhance productivity.
Calling the initiative "OneGS 3.0", the memo said some of the priorities for its AI initiative are sales and client on-boarding process, as well as other critical areas such as lending processes, regulatory reporting, and vendor management.

Marriott is being hush hush about exactly how many, but HUGE cuts are happening. Notifications to those affected this week, new postings this month, and those that don't get offers are out Jan 2. An entire IT department is going from 40+ to 4, North America reservation centers closing and consolidating leadership, HR, and support teams, support above center is being gutted. Not Mr. Marriott's vision at all. 😔
Just came across this article saying severance spending hints there won’t be job cuts in Q4. Curious if that’s really the case.
Informed that Minimed MDT will only be keeping contributing rolls and has started to inform individuals to look at other jobs in Medtronic and Minimed or elsewhere. They have until end of year or sooner.
Project managers, excessive middle managers be aware of your 1:1s coming up.
Product not producing anything pu--c safely wants . PDEs failing. Gov oversight not happy. Numbers continue decline. Subs are Verizon and TMO rejects. 15% will get notices week before Thanksgiving. WFH employees are top of cut list. Freloads will get there comeuppance. Curmudgeon managers safe. Not sure why or how there. One of you must no more. Spill the tea. Hold the sugar. Hope fiber and 5g fair better.
that can only mean another round of cuts and layoffs.
So its almost time! Who know what is happening in January this year?
Region/division cuts? Position cuts?
I’m among those who expected nothing less from the new CEO, but cuts of 6% or more are a truly depressing number.
And that’s not going to happen with this leadership. It really feels like they’ve completely lost touch with reality. The world is changing fast, but Chevron is moving forward on pure inertia, as if nothing around us is shifting. They’re doing this reorg like it’s business as usual, but it’s not. These decisions can have serious long-term consequences, not just for the company but for the many people who’ll be left without jobs. It’s frustrating watching leadership pretend everything is going according to plan, while there’s no real plan grounded in reality.
The scope of the job cuts could not be learned immediately. Colonial Pipeline declined to say how many jobs would be cut.
The changes come just months after New York-based asset manager Brookfield Infrastructure Partners Colonial in a deal valued at about $9 billion, becoming the first sole owner of the over 5,500-mile pipeline network since its construction in the 1960s.

how many jobs were lost in San Antonio? Did Carmen get cut there as well?
I have seen lots of managers VP CDL were laid off this week
Any of y’all that got canned because of location strategy, like me, get an email from a recruiter in the Redeployment Services group? Never heard of them and have no idea what they are wanting from me. Anyone have any experience with that group? Thanks
Worst set of cuts I've seen in years, not looking good
