@vq which offices in US? Lots of offices with just sales in them and they are out with customers so no point in then really e.g Dallas
US will be closing entire offices.
@bd
No region is exempt...
A few countries have local labor laws which require a 'consultation period'.
The end result is you are notified the same day others are laid off and then after your consultation period is over (typically 8 to 10 weeks) you are terminated. Consultation programs are common in UK..(England for example) So think of it as a delay..not a regional exemption.
@bz good luck to you then, hope you dont. get caught in crossfire. expect big bangs
I'm hearing there will be no layoffs at this time, but instead it will be a major divestiture, perhaps more of microfocus's products. The RTO mandate also has to claim its pound of flesh
@a2 why is Ireland excempt?
We have to remember they want to divest doesn’t mean any company will buy our cr-ppy products.
Most casualties will be America's and india.
It's going to be under 1000 people
It’s a good thing, as long as I am not on that list.
I would be able to sale my stocks at better price.
Last April/May when we laid off 2K people, our stock went up high, and I was able to sale my PSUs
[Will the employees of non-core business that OT plans to divest be part of the layoff?]
Yes, you always fatten the pig before market
Will the employees of non-core business that OT plans to divest be part of the layoff?
