Got laid off today from Gainwell due to badge/rebadging, offshore changes, AI implementation, and poor management decisions.
Multiple accounts were affected, with around 50 people laid off the same day.
No prior notice — it all happened immediately.
Frustrating situation, but I’m staying focused on what’s next.

I was casually looking at the Optum internal job postings and I didn't filter to United States and out of curiosity I clicked on a couple offshore job postings. Guess what the referral bonus amounts I saw are $20,000 & $37,500.

It blew my mind. Stateside referral bonuses are usually $500 or $1000.

Admittedly, the market is hard, but having a personal connection gives you a huge advantage.

Mouser said there is a 25% referral requirement. Requirements that are completely legal and not going anywhere. SNP departments have to refer to humana owned pharmacy. They encourage push back and aggressive sales tactics are rewarded.

These cuts may save Google mere thousands; they also come as Google faces increasingly strained relationships with news publishers. August data from the trade association Digital Content Next showed median referral traffic from Google Search to publishers fell 10% between May and June of this year, with non-news brands experiencing 14% drops.

If Humana would allow CWP employees to do their jobs without the added cr-p and specific talking points etc, we'd have way more referrals to CWP. All the jargon is bogging employees down and stressing them out, and members are picking up on it.
