Back to the office or leave!

Management requires all employees, including engineers, to return to the office. An unmissable 100km a day commute has to "clear your mind and allow you to disconnect", according to EMEA "leaders." The amount of cr-p we heard from HR today is hard to... — read more

When will layoffs finally be done?

Is there ever going to come a moment when we'll know we're safe, if nothing else then for the next six months or so? It is tiring to have to worry about layoffs non-stop. Even a day after one round, people always start speculating on when we'll hear... — read more

Sometimes it's hard to believe what senseless acquisitions they've made here. Just out of curiosity, which one do you think is the worst?

Once a layoff, always a layoff!

It's going to happen again. Tech giants all across the industry are being impacted. This may not happen at F5 in the next 1-2 quarters, but the new fiscal year starts on October 1st. Only time will tell. Also, with a major re-org of groups... — read more

Long term F5'er layed off

Well, I was one of them. The company is a shadow of its former self and cannot admit to the error of purchasing NGINX, which over inflated their business before purchase. Pretty good redundancy pay outside of the US, but heard the cull has been... — read more

Management is awful

Employees don't leave companies, employees mostly leave bad bosses. Almost all of my colleagues who left and whom any good company would try to retain, left precisely because of the manager. Why do all the good managers leave here quickly, while... — read more

Stay away from F5

You are treated as nothing but a number. You are considered expendable no matter how hard you work. Depending on your manager, you could have zero work-life balance. Profits are always more important than people. The company might claim it cares... — read more

Sad but true
