Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

It's been three months since....

It's been three months since the announcement of which of the 620+ employees of F5 would be RIFd. I was among them. Beginning with shock, I have come to realize and be grateful that I am now out of an unhealthy environment. Despite F5's Diversity And Inclusion program, I was never included nor accepted by those I worked with despite having stellar performance reviews over 10+ years.

I have no idea what the future holds for me and my family, but I do know that the inclusion, health and well being of ALL people must come first.

A wise man once said: "Assume nothing, expect everything." Don't be fooled by the idea of "human first" or "we are family" BS preaching by management. You are just a number in a spreadsheet. It's business, and you provided services (knowledge) and time to the company in exchange for money. It's nothing more, nothing less. No emotions, no BS about being "grateful", "going beyond", or providing free labour outside of your business hours or duties specified in the contract.

I'd strongly encourage you to check two YT channels: "A Life After Layoff" and "Grind Reel" (Joshua Fluke). Both provide invaluable insight into the realities of the corporate world and teach how to manoeuvre the ever-changing job market.

I don't know who you are, but the same for me, 12 years plus and let go. Best of luck to you!
