RiF or Layoof - who cares about names? It means the same for affected families, mortgage lenders, and employees: no more paychecks. It only matters for CFOs, probably.
It was a RIF.... this includes reorgs that result in job loss.....

Did the 120 who got laid off in October receive a severance package? I couldn't help wonder because Upper MNGT insisted it was not a RiF
I hear ya, and it's still very tough finding a job. Got laid off in the most recent round and it's been slim pickings in the job market so far.
