Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

F5 Adds Tami Erwin to its Board of Directors

"With Erwin’s appointment, F5’s board expands to 12 members, 11 of whom are independent. F5’s diverse board includes four directors who are women, and an additional four directors that identify as racially or ethnically diverse, with one identifying as African American or Black, two identifying as Asian, and one identifying as Hispanic or Latino(a)."

Sc--w up products and clients! "Diversity" is the most important! Gosh, this is sickening!

You are not alone. There are many of us. Don't believe me... Just wait until the job Market heats up. There are those of us who are still doing our jobs, haven't quiet quit, and will be leaving the MOMENT they can, and I hope it's in DROVES voluntarily.

But the diversity thing is getting way overboard at F5 and it's getting almost cartoonish.

Unreligious people need a religion as well.

There is no diversity in F5. Your career moves, if you are part of the same world as your management chain. Last 4 year, it became very biased and toxic environment. Lot of folks got the position as manager, architect not by their work, but where from they arrived at F5. All about buddy, buddy and yes buddy ;)

I wrote the first two comments on this post, and I realize how they may have come across (I understand why some are downvoting). When I first joined F5, one of the things I loved about the company was how openminded it felt, and the openness to different people and cultures was such a great quality. I loved that diversity was welcome. I also have nothing against the person who this post was about, they might indeed be a nice person, I have no idea.

But the diversity thing is getting way overboard at F5 and it's getting almost cartoonish. I also feel like in their obsession with diversity, they are somehow becoming even more close minded. It's hard to explain, but I know I'm not the only one at this company that feels this way.

Do you even read these articles that you share? Cause as far as I could see, they are bringing in a person that is not only a professional with 35 years of telecom sales experience, but apparently a decent human being dedicated in helping veterans and their families. I really don't see how that move could sc--w up products and clients, but I guess we'll see.

I have personally watched a "diverse" coworker treat everyone around them like absolute sh-t for years on end. Complaints to HR and upper management have been made about this individual by NUMEROUS people (it was basically a team effort at one point). Nothing is done, because they are diverse. Trust me, this runs so deep at F5.

At F5, diversity is more important than talent, being a good teammate, being a good person. You can do anything at F5, as long as you are "diverse" (by the way, their koolaid doesn't leave room for invisible forms of diversity, it's all about the cookie cutter solutions here). Fu-k this company. I'm so over it. I'm working on my resume this weekend. I'm so fu--ing sick of this bullsh-t. And I'm saying this as someone who has put in years of my life working here.
