If given the opportunity, I'll be the first to accept a voluntary buyout. Some of my teammates feel the same way. Wouldn't it be better to offer that first before layoffs?

To the last commenter, are you in Amer? Were they really offering all unvested RSU’s last round? I thought they just extended the date of layoff to capture the next vesting cycle?

No, because people who are strong performers might take it rather than people who are low performers or are in roles not supporting the business growth priorities
