Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

Is this site really anonymous?

Guessing a lot of tech people frequent this site given the industry. Are the posts really anonymous? Do they have any way of knowing who wrote what?

As anonymous as it gets. No one can hack your account, cause no accounts are required. It’s not a company owned website, so unless you yourself haven’t posted something identifiable or posted from a corporate device or network chances of them figuring out who you are are pretty slim. The only way for F5 to find out who made a certain post is via court order/subpoena served to the website to reveal from which IP that post came. And then they need to serve the subpoena to the internet provider. As it's lawful for employees to discuss their work conditions (NLRA protected speech), I don't see that happening unless the law violation is committed (i.e. a threat, a trading secret or something like that was posted).

Yes, this site is anonymous, unless you log in with an email or user name that clearly shows your identity. For added protection you can use a VPN connected to a different coutry.
