Fellow employees, how are you all getting along in the new org? How is the work load? My personal experience is pure he-l to be honest. Triple workload and chaos from management. This may be just my own experience, so I’m hoping to get an idea of... — read more
President Trump’s Statement on Iran and Oil
D. Trump “The United States is the largest Oil Producer in the World, by far, so when oil prices go up, we make a lot of money”
Chevronton
Dearest gentle reader, it has come to this author’s attention that all is not glittering in the oil patch, particularly within the cold, steely walls of Chevron. While the company boasts of record-setting efficiency, measured by colorful scorecards... — read more
No More PDRs?
There are now no more PDRs? What does this mean? Is it just another nail in the coffin of getting a new position/career progression? I guess there won’t be any need for them if there aren’t any jobs to post in a PDC.
Too soon?

Will multiple conflicts prevent layoffs?
As CVX price and bbl go up with the multiple conflicts, will that save us from additional layoffs? Or is this short term?
Any word on Exploration?
My boss has been hinting that there's no longer a cliquey barrier for entry into exploration. I've heard there's a reorg coming. What are the current whispers?
So many opportunities at Chevron
You get to experience favoritism, nepotism, and exploitation. No growth at all. Leaders who only care about themselves and face no consequences for anything. Great place.
Finance Sheet Show
Finance is now a complete joke. Management does not know the inefficiency of these endless forecasts, scorecards, and endless requests on a daily basis. This new op model is half baked at best. They know not, nor care about the chaos they created... — read more
Richmond and El Segundo
The west coast refineries run a lot of Middle East crude slates, their on hand stocks are probably good for a week or so depending on where they on the resupply cycle. Assume there is some business continuity plan for supply disruptions.
IT monitoring
I know Chevron monitors activity. Obviously. But has anyone else received a new pop up to confirm that we understand and agree with our appropriate use policies? I’ve asked around and my peers haven’t received….
IT
What is the deal with the hatred towards IT at Chevron? Its pure he-l working here in IT as you are treated as a 3rd class citizen. We are the first for our ignorant ELT to pick on for cuts all while that advertise around Houston how they are... — read more

How does 90 day performance plan work?
If you’re not happy with your current position but the manager has not put you on a performance plan yet, can you tell your manager you want to volunteer to be out then you have 90 days- sounds like severance. Seems like a win- win.
Not that bad
I have to say despite knowing I'll be downvoted into oblivion, this place is fine. Good pay, decent work. If you're miserable here, you'd probably be miserable anywhere.
Thought for the day
This will come as a surprise to Chevron management; respect is earned and not deserved due to title or legacy. It has been a long time since I worked with a Chevron manager who actually earned respect. Management drafts way too many entitled... — read more

90 POINTS
Can someone explain the significance of 90 points? Do they matter only for the company contribution towards healthcare premiums or do the 90 points come into play for other benefits?
Bonus for Separated employees
Is the payout usually below the full target? Company prioritizes full payout for current employee only?

Anyone have information on the algorithm utilized for March promotions? Seems to be some odd results of unexpected promotions. Others on the list for promotion heard crickets.
