Growth by acquisition?

Is CRC an oil company or an investment bank? CRC only acquires reserves. I never see CRC making large oil discoveries like traditional upstream oil and gas companies. It appears there is an acquisition arm, and then there is an arm that squeezes... — read more

Return to Office (2025)

Full time return to office beginning February 3rd, 2025. What is the reasoning other than control? Morale is already low, this isn’t going to help.

Layoffs Today?

No longer work here but hearing of pretty brutal layoffs/reorganization today? What is the plan with this company? Gutted ops/rmts. Leave carbon untouched. Sad to see a once great company with awesome people deteriorate into what it is now.

Toxic culture

If it was easy to find out what the culture of a company is like before accepting a job offer, I probably would've never applied here. This is certainly the most toxic work environment I have ever worked in. Why is it so toxic here?

I'm surprised that the attrition is not even bigger

Given how badly the company treats employees and that it is now easier than ever to find a new job, it really surprises me that the attrition is not even bigger. Management is fortunate that it is difficult for most employees to start from scratch... — read more

Horrible work environment

And even worse company culture. I admire people who can continue to work here. They can take more than I can. I give up.

How true are the rumors about upcoming layoffs?

Have you also heard rumors that there will be layoffs again soon? I’ve heard it from a lot of people and I hope it’s just some fabrication. What is the probability that layoffs will happen and who could be the target? After the last round of layoffs... — read more
