CDW is still around?

I haven’t heard much of CDW in the last 5 years. Thought they were irrelevant in the consulting world these days, did they miss the boat on the last wave of technology and cloud etc..? Is this the fate of all resellers?

Lots of movement at top

Anyone else seen people getting downgraded from Director to Sr Mgr or Mgr…. Or complete reshuffles of teams? So much uncertainty right now. We were going to buy our first house, but I’m not sure whether it’s a good idea to go into debt right now… or... — read more

Terminated

They are eliminating 200 jobs Jan 2nd and still making employee's go into the office two days a week to slap us in the face.. They didn't learn from the incident in 2018 with Jesse Pajente, 35. its sickening.. and the Cover ups keep coming!!

Layoffs?

What's everyone's feeling? My gut says a new round is in the works. Thoughts?

Unnecessary layers of leadership

I don't have much hope that we'll soon have fewer layers of leadership, but I believe that a lot of us here feel that the company would prosper if it got rid of most of them?

Where do we stand with layoffs?

I remember reading something about another restructuring coming our way, what happened with that? Is that still in play or can we move on from that rumor, considering that it's been several weeks since it was last mentioned? I'm just trying to... — read more

Baffled

Not sure how CDW gets positive ratings by Forbes. Unless of course they are asking coworkers who fear repercussions for not spouting what management crams down every ones throats. That or Forbes is asking upper management who are raking in bonuses... — read more

BRG participation needed for promotion?

Serious inquiry here. Do you believe that participation in a Business Resource Group (BRG) is “needed” to move up the ladder? The obvious answer is “it doesn’t hurt” sure, but do you believe it’s needed? I ask because I’ve been working on getting... — read more

Meanwhile, over at the Leahy household...

According to the CRN article yesterday: "CDW’s CEO, president and chairwoman received $11.1 million in total compensation in 2022, according to SEC filings. That’s about 24 percent more than her total compensation the year prior." And others like... — read more

Everyone is looking for a new job

I don't remember ever so many people looking to get out of here as soon as possible? Obviously, there are very few who think that better days are coming...

Virtue Signaling on LinkedIn

The "my network is your network" posts on LinkedIn are nauseating. It's the new "thoughts and prayers".

Will CDW survive?

I've heard different forecasts: CDW will do better than other tech companies CDW will suffer headwinds this year. Is this just a blip on the radar screen, and will CDW return to the "no layoffs" company it used to be? Or is this a sign of... — read more

How long before the next round?

Yes, we were told layoffs are done, but I don't trust this management anymore. Plus, if the next round is in a month or two, they can always say the all-clear was for this specific layoff, and that's all. I don't think I'll be able to properly relax... — read more

CDW Leadership is the Problem

Not affected by the layoff, but my team was. The determination of "who" was affected seemed to be very biased toward "legacy CDW" people staying and "acquired talent" being laid off. The truth is, it should have been the other way around. CDW seems... — read more

This was a small layoff that was needed

Truth: Around 500-600 people in a company with over 14K people which has been growing fast for its size is comparatively not a large layoff. While most are probably nice people, it seems as though 95% of those let go were a drag on the company who... — read more

Shady

I got to boot two months ago during the first tiny wave of layoffs. When I asked about the layoff, they told me not not call it a layoff but instead to say “my role was eliminated” or “my contract is over early”.. I knew something shady was up. So... — read more

We lost good people today

I'm not sure who made the decision on who to lay off, but I can say with certainty that they made several major mistakes. We lost some excellent folks today whose absence will be felt, that's for sure. It feels like sometimes the management can't see... — read more

what department

Those that have gotten the worst news, would you be willing to share the dept you were in?

Revenue down, stock down

If I was a betting man, I'd say that we might be looking at layoffs today. And if not today, then next week for sure.

Layoffs info

Is there anybody here who has concrete info about the coming layoffs? We all know something is going to happen, but nobody seems to be willing to share anything beyond that. A lot of people are stressing over this, so if you could help and clear out... — read more
