Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Wink, Bully, Nudge and Layoff Strategy

Some very good coworkers were let go due to failed revenue issues and overall leadership mismanagement.

This layoff is the same as all layoffs...looking for the highest paid
If that doesn't work, then look for those with the most tenure, PTO is gold
Find jobs to eliminate by looking for supposed redundancy
Look at departments with the highest grossing revenue for retention
When the above doesn't work use standard bullying tactics to force people to leave

CDW has an entire strategy they've used for years to layoff people. The latest points to revenue numbers.

The PTO change was the biggest clue. No more accrual, forcing staff to schedule time away based on the schedule provided by HR.

Is it just me or is leadership and HR reading comments that tell the truth? Down vote all you want, enough of the bad leaders are only at CDW because of the talent that delivers. Because of that, we will stick together.

Yes, you missed it - there were at least 2 company-wide emails sent about it and your manager should also have talked about it.

Did I miss the original notice on the change to PTO versus accrued vacation time? I found the updated info on Connect but never saw an original announcement.
