Thread regarding CDW layoffs

This is why the decline is happening. Focus is elsewhere.

The information above is open to the public and explains why we keep doing so abysmally on our company's financial results. Her mind has been occupied and friends are being promoted to top jobs even though they don't have the experience. Look back two CHRO's ago. We handed our Coworker Experience lead job to one of her friends who didn't have any experience in HR. The very position that takes care of coworkers is handed to a person with no experience and now that same person is being promoted again to a top executive role? Our team's culture was so bad that they had to on-board an outside consulting group to fix the internal mess because they were at each others throats. They threw the new leader CHRO under the bus even though she had only a little time with us and the culture here had been developed by the leaders before she came to us and she left. But I caution all of you, the security safety leader told me the legal leads asked his team to look at this site so don't comment from your CDW devices nor on on your personal phones on our company wifi. Legal gave them the ok to see who is reading this site and who is posting notes on this site. That should tell you about the culture that is here and I intend to write our board folks because we used to care about our coworkers with dignity and respect. The new CHRO seems much better than the previous two but the legal folks are a mess and not a trusted bunch. They took safety security from our team so they can control them however they want. I loved this place some years ago. Please folks, bring my old CDW back. I am drafting a letter to the board members before I go into the office, begging for their review of what is happening and asking for the same accountability for dismal financial results, that we have had to do to our own coworkers.

I think the purpose of the original complain besides that was the other problems that person included on the original post. The person that wrote the response to say the complainant was a jerk, may be a communications or legal coworker because there were comments and pictures that her husband made like the travel in private jets to business meetings and personal travel and other excessive spending, while people are being laid off. I saw the pictures. I don't think the poster meant the break up was the problem. If we are spending CDW money because of it, like safety for her, that would be a problem for me because she makes enough to pay that herself for a problem that is not related to CDW. I don't know if there is but it would not surprise me. Those do matter. The same with the ones about the promotions and tracking and investigating us internally . I feel like they are using Russia or North Korea spy tactics.

This is so stupid. Chris personal life including her clearly unhinged ex has nothing to do with the performance of the company, it’s sad and probably heartbreaking for her and you are a jerk for bringing it up.

If you think HR is there to support the employees, you're part of the problem. HR is there to protect the company from being sued, not to help employees.

A core strength of CDW is the breadth and depth of its product and services portfolio AND its customer base. When one thing is down, something else is up in order to ensure continued growth.

For years, CDW was able to ride that strength and see quarter after quarter after quarter of revenue and profit growth. CDW just never missed its financial responsibilities to its coworkers, its partners or its shareholders.

Now it misses and its a shoulder shrug and blame the economy. It's time for the board to take a proactive approach to address these ongoing misses and hold the leadership team accountable. They have not been doing their jobs sufficiently and have not earned the right to keep their jobs.

CDW has laid off well over 1,000 people and nothing improved. In fact, things got worse.

Perhaps the wrong people were let go and the real problems remain in too many c-suite positions.
