I hope those who were laid off land on their feet soon. I also hope for those who are still here that the vibe at work and generally bad management will not get even worse. This particular round of layoffs was an exceptionally disappointing display of the mismanagement and waste of the resources and human capital, which just deepened my already existing disrespect for leadership and suspicions about any competence they may have.

I hope that eventually they figure it out. Happy employees also mean happy customers, which drives more revenue. So developing strong managers is well worth the investment. The alternative is high turnover rates and a lack of stable company culture.
I enjoyed working at CDW for the people I worked with, they were pleasant and great.
Those just recently laid off - on average it will take a while to land something, mostly likely the new year because we're in Q4 in a very wait & see environment both politically and economically. The Tech job industry has been very challenging the past 2 years, especially this year - very competitive for the few jobs available. But folks just need to hang in there and battle it out - find helpful things to do for the holiday season why job hunting.
I did around 5 years there and after surviving the 2022 round, I went on the hunt. Best way to find a job is when you’re still employed. Moved to a much better run IT org in a rapidly growing company with very deeply experienced folks versus the excrementshow that is IT leadership at CDW
You had suspicions of competency with these useless id--ts? I’ve been in the tech industry for a long time, and I can say with 100% confidence that the leadershit at CDW is far and away the d-mbest and most incompetent group of people I’ve ever worked with. It’s like they only hire from the special Ed classes.
I enjoyed my time at CDW. Correctly stated bad management is a part of the problem. The bad managers are still there sadly. Best to always keep the resume updated.
My direct manager encouraged time off but insisted on setting deadlines every week I had to meet and then changed delivery dates without explanation.
