Day Drinking Till RTO

If senior leadership wants to give us all this time till Labor Day until RTO is enforced, then I say apply for new jobs and work on your day-drinking habit. Wwwwwweeeeeee

Appreciation From USAA To Employees

Why is that so many USAA employees want to roll over like corporate bootlickers and say, "USAA kept me employed during COVID, so supporting RTO is the least I could do."? USAA employees kept USAA afloat during COVID and did it well in a remote work... — read more

Townhall

What a joke. Clyde from day one gave me bad vibes. Each time he speaks, the vibes get worse. Go away. “We are an in office culture” Basically they are giving remote employees zero room for advancement as fully remote and saying there’s the... — read more

I don't have any motivation anymore

The company is nose diving. The leadership seems to think that cuts are the solution to all the problems that have accumulated here over the years. The atmosphere is toxic like never before and I can hardly focus on work. Actually, I don't have any... — read more

Forbes reports new layoffs

USAA, the United Services Automobile Association, will cut 300 positions across "most of our offices and different functions," a company spokesperson confirmed to Forbes, bringing the Texas-based automotive insurance company's layoffs this year to... — read more

I'm ready for today

I spent most of the night thinking about it, and I came to the conclusion that worse things can happen in my career than getting laid off from USAA. This is not the same company it was ten or even five years ago and leaving here with a severance... — read more

Yes there are more layoffs and reorgs coming

What is known: There’s another wave of mid-June layoffs (from here) September RTO and attrition leading to it will likely lead to another mid-September round - perhaps October Bank just combined ALOT of BRC, ops, omnichannel, and CoS / project... — read more

Thank you. Again

To the person(s) that keep being SO ACCURATE with layoffs, org changes, and timing. Thank you 🙏🏻. You help the rest of us plan appropriately. Support our teams. Give our clueless Directors and managers a heads up so they can better position and... — read more

Great support: Read prior posts.

Love that we can support each other here. So many questions to answers. Hey can we make some ground rules? No more rants about WARN. There’s a 80 comment thread. It’s been best to death Questions about severance: see go/HRSC or go/hr search... — read more

How are the Layoffs looking?

Are they targeting recent hires or whats the criteria? What's severance/health insurance looking like? We were just celebrating how many hires we got trained at the same time last year smh. I'm afraid it's not a matter of 'if' but 'when' at this... — read more

Third round of layoffs?

Do we think there will be another round of layoffs in 2023 and if so when? Last year they had another batch in August.

Sinking fast

Started at USAA well over a decade ago. It was a company I dreamed of working for. It was HARD to get an interview. I felt like I hit the lotto. The mission was amazing and I was here amazed at the culture. Made myself stand out just by my work... — read more

My call went to India, and that's when I knew

As a 22-year member of USAA, I am so sorry to hear of the layoffs happening at this once-great company. I submitted an Auto Claim last week, and the first indication was the claims website had an error. I called yesterday, and my call went to... — read more

Layoffs happened in AML SLOD

Super weird meeting where the head honcho was reading from a script telling us that people got laid off in AML SLOD. No names or teams were shared in that meeting, to protect the innocent. No chit chat, just straight to the script, and ended the call... — read more

Dispute layoffs

Whole team just got laid off. In disputes. Stated they are cutting our roles.

No trust at all

This has become a horrible workplace. After so many terrible leadership moves, I have absolutely no confidence that they know what they are doing. Does anyone trust them anymore? I doubt it.

Crying Bank Teller

Does anyone remember the first RTO meeting in early 2022 when there was a bank teller crying about having to WFH and was so happy to RTO? I heard Wayne promoted her to be an EVP right after that performance.

How are you being notified?

No word about layoffs in my group as of yet. How are notifications arriving? Is it an email, 1 on 1, or something else?

Wayne’s response

We all worked in office pre-covid! Yeah, and pre-covid we didn’t have record high inflation and gas prices weren’t this high either. So, instead of being a leader in the industry, he is being a follower by saying other companies are RTO. The mission... — read more

5/16 Layoffs

Thinking about everyone today at USAA. Mark yourself “safe” or “impacted” from today’s events and your areas. I haven’t heard anything myself yet and I’m in the Bank. No news is good news.

How did we get here

Here's a repost from EJS-like site: This might be a good time for a history lesson. I’ve been at usaa for more than 10 years in P&C Claims. I can’t remember exactly what position Wayne had when I started but it was Executive Director level or higher... — read more

Tank the pulse surveys

It will not impact our bonus per Wayne today but it will impact leaderships Do it u chickens

Managing by fear

I can't wait to get out of here. Management seems to be reduced to exploiting employees' fear of losing their jobs. Do they know how to manage in some other way? It's disgusting.

Fired or laid off

Can people who decide to completely ignore RTO be fired or will they be laid off? There's a huge difference between being dismissed without anything and being laid off with severance. If it's the latter, I'd be more than willing to take that risk... — read more

Tamla - The Empty Suit CHRO

It appears that Tamla likes to have HR folks come on this board to censor posts associated with her name. I wonder if Wayne or the BoD are aware of how she is wasting company resources doing that. So I will keep posting messages like this and links... — read more

Hearing Layoff Chatter for Next Week

I’ve had multiple, credible sources tell me to expect more layoffs early next week. Anyone else? My management has said more layoffs are on the horizon.

Bob Davis Is THRILLED!!!!

He won't go down inhistory as the worst executive at USAA. Wayne and Tamla are currently fighting for that title. Who would have though that USAA could.have hired a senior executive worse than Bob Davis. The current BoD said..."Hold my beer. It's Bud... — read more
