There will always be layoffs. Best you can do is take control of your career and stop believing that you’re at the mercy of an organization. This is your life. Focus on building multiple streams of income and you’ll be fine.

You don’t owe USAA anything - take control and move!
I'm at my 3rd position since 2021 and have increased my salary 40%. Business does not favor the meek
Agreed! I never understood why ppl feel this way! I’m not at USAA anymore but I was there for 6 years. Towards the end I was very dissatisfied with how my lack of career progression was going. I was at the bank at the beginning of BCC and it was crazy. Guess what?! I took control of my career and bounced!✌🏽✌🏽 people are always scared to make a change ge-z!
C'mon, that is a harsh assessment of people who have spent years here, or who may still be in the "shocked" state. Plus, they may have a young family and no multiple streams of income! In some ways, they are at the mercy of circumstance. However, I do believe that ultimately they have to take charge as best as they can. Take courses, work with you life partner, leverage what you have and never forget the lesson!
