d-mb question but I see a lot of people talking about NRE / RE/ and when they can and can’t PIP you based on how close you are to retirement. Can someone actually explain all these details to me? I am newer but not young so very interested.

I no longer even try

I stick to just what’s expected at work now and save my energy for my own life. Giving more to a company that would PIP you for no reason in a second isn’t worth it. It’s easier to focus on what matters outside the office.
